I m not a professional athlete so i dont need down time for my body to recover... My point was more that inter also profits(exposure) from lauti being in the argie nt....

This is not accurate, such negotiation is actually prohibited. Also, Fifa actually has a rule that club has to "let" their players play if called up in certain tournaments. But I agree with you.

If you think inter does not profit from having a starting striker of the Arg NT i m not sure what to say.... ( at the very least you d have to agree that it increases his value)
Also i get your point all i m saying it s totally unrealistic to expect lautaro not to go and play for his NT..... and being exhausted cause you played a shit ton of football for both inter and your NT is a lot more acceptable than not being fit cause of some shit he did in his free time.

Fair enough he only played 221 minutes.... I d argue that being in such a tournament still adds to fatigue even if you dont play to much, thing is that lauti barely got a break the last 2/3 seasons.......
Also he did start the last two friendlies in september for Argentina.

Btw i m not saying he does not have to step up just that it s understandable to some degree.

Even if he played few minutes during the midyear tournament, it still cut a substantial time for a proper rest and it also took away important preseason training. Add mental fatigure and constant worldwide travelling to the mix, you would get an exhausted player who could not play at his 100 %.


Now it seems he will be absent for the City match. Considering his fitness and the recent form, I would regret allowing him to cut short his vacation to join us. He should take his time and even be allowed to have a custom preseason schedule for him. It sounds extreme but that is how important he is for us.

Ive really given up on this guy. I thought Copa would make him better. It made him MUCH worse.

But our club just cant attract Haaland level players, so we're stuck with him. It's sad because a lethal finisher would truly make us a top European side.
