He's been our guy, for a couple seasons now. Still have faith he can turn it around, but honestly I'm starting to worry that this could be a substandard season for him. Hopefully, he kicks on big time in the second half of the season in all the competitions.

from my perspective, even as someone classified as a big "lautaro hater" right now, this is just a slump. I dont know what the problem is, but I think he'll break the back of it. I just wish his attitude was a bit better - things like that instagram post leaves a bit of a sour taste when he's playing like shite

Man I’m surprised at some of you being a bit confused 🤣 LAUTARO HAS ALWAYS BEEN AN INCONSISTENT STRIKER! Or ‘STREAKY’ or whatever you want to call it. Just look at the historical conversation around him, from ‘he’s still young he’ll figure it out’ to ‘he’s just in a slump’. He’s always had a bloody long annoying slump every single season since he’s been here. Luckily he had this ‘slump’ last season after we had secured the title and not when the season began and he was on fire. It just sucks even more now especially after getting that large pay rise.

He better figure this shit out quicker than usual because it’s just making my anxiety lace up to run lol. I appreciate the dude but man he’s not as good as he thinks he is - or how about not puffing your chest on socials while you’re playing like shit bruv 😂

Another game, another game without a goal, we should sell Lautaro cheap immediately and call back Sebastiano Esposito, he is the next big thing according to many people here based on his brilliant performances in serie b and Empoli(y)

One of his best games of the season.

He's finally getting back into the team. Before he was completely invisible and wasn't even getting good chances.

He's earned the benefit of the doubt, but as of right now, I would rather keep Thuram if one of them is to go. Thuram is better in every facet of the game atm. Lautaro is a wonderful captain and he will almost certainly wont be going anywhere. But his clip of what, 4/5 goals in 14 league games for playing on the defending champions is unacceptable.
To get good money and justify the (supposed to be increasing) enormous salary, we can't sell one when his form is low, but when his performance is luring serious interest.

But at that time you dare to touch a fan favorite and being annihilated by 80% of the fan base...

People complaining about Lautaro reached beyond ridiculous point. Are you actually watching games? Reading stuff on the internet I would think he is one of the worst players in the league this season and was shit every game while reality is very different and half of the games he was not even bad as people claim. That's what eye test tells. When you look at stats you can see the same.

Not a fan of Lautaro but he should be included in FIFA Best list, Messi is still in the top 10 list is completely beyond me.

When does the voting close for this? Because if it includes the last 3 months then he should not even sniff the top 10

The vote was based on last year's individual performance hence Kroos is in the list.

Been watching him very closely for a while now and the way he plays compared to last season has changed. He moved back to a full support role, he drops back way more and does a lot of pressing again running everywhere. Maybe because Thuram started consistently scoring and feels comfortable enough as 9.
He does squander lots of easy chances tho but that was always the case with him really. Obviously we want our strikers scoring especially our star striker but I think his overall contribution is just as important now. What I absolutely value with Lautaro is his humility and lack of ego when it comes to individual acolades per game. He is comfortable with elevating others and working hard for the team even if that means taking a back seat. How many star strikers can we think of that do that ?
