I am Ok with Darwin Nunez(40m) + Giuliano Simeone(38m) and huge 72m cash )
Heavy pass on both those names.

I prefer similar profile to Lautaro, like Kane and Seba Esposito who drops deeper and defend to help the team. I'm not saying we have to replace him with Kane but someone similar.I am Ok with Darwin Nunez(40m) + Giuliano Simeone(38m) and huge 72m cash )
Like clockwork.

True, his slump period is longer than others, this season he was disappear for 6 months since he signed the contract? God knows how long he will disappear next season.
The thing that annoyed me is how he handled the new contract situation only to disappear for months in every season. He asked for 10m according to reports and rejected our offer 7.5m, 8m, 8.5m and 9m respectively, he knows that we had financial difficulties and we kept making loses. Yet people called him the next Zanetti. Meanwhile Barella didn't even negotiate and Bastoni only negotiate one time if i remember correctly.I think that's generous. For me his slump began at the end of January last year when the Super Cup was won. The title came soon after and there was a collective slump which no-one cared about for obvious reasons, but Lautaro was off the pace from roughly then until right at the end of the year - so almost an entire calendar year.
The thing is his league goals have fucking evaporated, and for like only the second season in his career, he's performing in the CL. It'd be nice to have both at some point.Like clockwork.
People have been moaning non-stop about his goalscoring all year and he’s still about on pace for what he normally does numbers wise. Not that he’s perfect, just consistent in terms of what you can expect from him.
He s ost likely gonna end the season with well over 20 goals scored across competitions i dont see what the big deal is...The thing is his league goals have fucking evaporated, and for like only the second season in his career, he's performing in the CL. It'd be nice to have both at some point.
I guess some expect that if you pay a player more money, that they will for sure score more, which obviously isn't reality. Everybody would like to see Lautaro score in most games, but I don't think he'll ever be that player. He s ost likely gonna end the season with well over 20 goals scored across competitions i dont see what the big deal is...
Who exactly is that player? Did they see what kane missed against us? Dude is on a higher salary than lauti and in most of the football world is held in higher regards....I guess some expect that if you pay a player more money, that they will for sure score more, which obviously isn't reality. There are more games with the new UCL format though...Hopefully he breaks Crespo's record here. Not only that would put him at the top, but that would quite impressive as he would have to do it while playing at these difficult stages of UCL.
no, in fairness, thats not the case. Crespo was in the days where there were 2 group stages, and Inter did qualifying that year too. 2 quals, 12 group stage games, 2 in the quarters, 2 in the SF, inter played 16(+2 quals), of 17 matches that could have been availableThere are more games with the new UCL format though...is what I would say if I was a pedantic dork.
I thought Ibra would break his record easily but ..no, in fairness, thats not the case. This year, its 8 group stage, 2 R16, 2 QF, 2 SF, 1 F, so that's only 15 games (ignoring the knock out before R16 which we passed automatically)
until we hire a talent coach who works with him independently, to improve his accuracy.I agree with what you are saying, except Lautaro's dip in form was quite bad this season, I'd rather see us avoid that in next seasons.
