^^ Of course they would deny reaching agreement, that would be really bad (skipping Inter as a club).
Gianluca Di Marzio: “Barcelona Are Losing €5 Million A Day, Maybe Now They Can’t Afford Inter Striker Lautaro Martinez”
Inter want cash for Lautaro Martinez and are not interested in the idea of doing a players plus cash deal with any club for him according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.
Barcelona have been strongly linked to the highly rated 22-year-old Argentine and it is understood that they wish to offer two or three players plus a cash sum but Inter do not want this. Inter do not want to let Lautaro depart the club but would be left powerless if his release clause of €111 million was met but as per the report it is
unlikely that Barcelona will activate it.
The report states that Inter may consider accepting one player plus a considerable cash sum but they will not just accept any player from the Blaugrana club. Arturo Vidal’s name has been suggested but Inter are not interested and would instead prefer someone like
Nelson Semedo.
Lautaro is currently under contract with Inter until the end of the 2022/23 season and the Milan based newspaper add that Inter are prepared to reward him with a much deserved new contract if he does not leave the club in the coming months. Moreover,
the player himself is not pushing to leave the club at this moment and would not be opposed to staying with the Nerazzurri with it understood that he is convinced about how good the club’s project is.
