Lautaro is typical South America / Argentina striker just like Higuain, Aguero, Tevez, Suarez, Cavani, Falcao or Diego Costa.
It's hard to compare with Hakimi, but honesty to see how good Lautaro is see what he achievement at age 24, already win Scudetto and Copa America.

Lautaro maybe not the best striker in the world right now, not even top 5.
In other hand Hakimi already top 3 right back in the world right now. For me he is on par with Cancelo and Trent-AA.

The positive thing is Lautaro can improve great in the future just like South American strikers i mention above.

For some reason people will always be skeptical about Lautaro, the guy has been scoring left right and center, contributing in the team press, keeping his mouth shut and running like a dog but people will always say he has been carried, he is not a difference maker, etc.

Wish people could give him the Lukaku treatment where he can walk for 70 minutes, score a tap-in to make it 4-0 and everybody will go crazy about how he keeps on scoring lol.

How can you not be a difference maker when most of the goals you score are openers or in very critical moments of the game? He is hardly a stat padder type of striker, his influence in the game is fundamental, he is a difference maker, imo.

Having a 'wow' factor and being a 'difference maker' are not the same things.

He is a difference maker.

Lautaro is a difference maker, his only problem is consistency. But again if he was consistent he'd already be a world class striker.

Why are you guys reacting as if I am criticising Lautaro? Life is not bipolar black and white. I do think he is our most important striker, after Lukaku left; but not irreplaceable.

Not a difference maker =/= bad player. I set that bar very high for only a few players in the world.

I too I'm losing faith in Lautoro. Consistency is not an issue, it's his decision making and its not improving. Fuck it, sell.

Can't sell him. We don't have an alternative yet. His consistency has always been an issue. I wouldn't evaluate his performance based on the Lazio game though. It's clear that he was exhausted and jet-lagged. Eyes all red and lost his cool easily.

What gave you any indication that you should have ever had faith in him?

Weird chain of events for him today. Was a trooper and came on to try for the win today. Worked hard went for glory after Dimarco went down, his attempt failed and Inter paid for it with a man "down" on the counter. Then fatigue and frustration reared it's ugly head and rest is history. Just burn the tape and move on.

Consistency is a big issue! Not just for Lautaro but for every single player. It's not just the talent and quality that distinguish the elite players from the rest, but also their consistency week in week out.

The expectations are very much related to the consistency of the player's performance. You can have all the talents in the world, but if you fail to deliver it on a constant basis you cannot reach the level of elite players or be taken seriously much more than a "talented player".

If you constantly make poor decisions that becomes part of your issue too.

It was 5 against 2 Lazio players and our boys shat their pants. I blamed De Vrij, but Brozo and Barella should share the guilt as well. Especially Nico, he was just hopping around.

This is actually a thing for us, in lots of situations they tend to go for the ball like a bunch of chickens, like they don't understand the space...
Look at our attacks, ball goes to the legs not the space and that is extra touch on the ball and that cause players to get cover much sooner,
I don't get it, none of the coaches through the years didn't teach our players to cover and run into space...
I mean look at the picture, when this happened I screamed cover the back, and we have this type of situations almost every game.

Its ok when you second to lukaku, but cmon how this is possible to be second to 35 years old dzeko, with all the respect for dzeko and his amazing things he doing, that season lautaro suppose to be our main guy, he not involved enough in our game, he must be more dominant..
Beside that, he was very unlucky today..

But he's not our main guy. Dzeko is our number 9, Lautaro plays the same role as he did with Lukaku. Unlucky he couldn't get the goal from those headers.

My point is that, when lukaku left, he was supposed to be our first choice at front and fill lukaku place in terms of main scorer and dominate like lukaku was...
It very annoying me to see that he under 35 years old striker in the team hierarchy..
He not step up like i expected him now that lukaku is gone..
