Glad that he's getting recognition he deserves. Never doubted on his quality, might have a period of poor form here and there but he's always there to put in a real effort. It wasn't easy for him in the first place. Playing in a very limited attack, lack of support by the teammates and everything else and still scores plenty of goals and assists as well.

Put some respect on his name. The guy is a champ. My Lautaro.

While I get it that you're probably purposefully exaggerating, I do have to note that Retegui actually has had almost the same amount of goals in the last 1.5 seasons as Pinamonti had in all of his professional career (that included 4 full seasons)
Yeah my point was that they were both unproven, my bad, I didn't even check the stats.

Anyway, ❤️❤️ Il Toro

Perfect match from him. Probably his best as Inter player. He should keep this up till the end of season. We need that.

Amazing game by Lautaro! Have to hand it to him. He’s hitting his blazing hot form at just the right time. I hope we don’t get the titanic iceberg in the CL final though. 😭

Always stuck by him. My favorite player. Regardless of his dips in form, Lautaro and Barella are the ones that drive our offensive game. Even in his bad form, he always contributes in other ways (pressing, link up play). He's so much more than his goals.

Also - his most prolific season for us so far with 27 goals, and 9 assists on top of that.

Ok-ok, his current form is probably the best in his career, it's clear that he's progressing, let him stay, I was wrong.

Great game, great 2nd goal. But man, that the first goal was a risky shot while you have free Dima with an empty goal in front of him. A better choice would be a passing ball to Dima. Thank God that shot went in so we now don't have to talk about that bad decision.

I agree about that, it was weird he didn't pass the ball, but on the other hand, being so reactive and clinical is great to see before we play Atalanta and City.

I was loving that so much. In that position, striker with confidence don't think about passing. He's looking where the goal is, where the goalie is, okay let's fucking go.

Yep, confidence is a very important thing for strikers. And we all enjoy knowing that our team and main players are confident. But still, it's easy to enjoy it after all went well. But at that moment we were losing 1-0 and there was no room for errors, players should play smart and make the best decision for team success.

I'm saying one can't expect striker to do anything else than try for a goal in such situation. Goal scorer does not think about passing in that moment, he thinks about scoring a goal.

Understand, but don't agree. A good player (no matter what position he is) should see all possibilities and pick the best one for the team.

That's not what made Vieri or Ronaldo great. They managed to even score from opportunities that didn't look like anything.

Having the balls to shoot from an unexpected angle is exactly what Lautaro did to Maignan not so long ago in CL semifinal.

One thing is score from opportunities that were not so good. That's the quality of great strikers. Another thing is not to pass the ball to the player who has better chance of scoring, much better. I know there is not perfect player. They are just humans, not a robots. But still, we can't pretend like he doesn't had better option to pass the ball.

I don't know how you can compare this to situation with the one vs ACM. Look at that goal vs ACM again. The only reasonable option he had there was to shoot like he did. Powerful and in one side. He did the best thing he could do from that situation. Which is was not 100% good chance, but Mike helped a bit with not covering first angle, which he should.

Considering his age he is entering in his prime years, I hope for Benzema like development for him.
If it goes well he has something like 7 years of prime ahead and this will be huge for us.

Also I hope he slowly removes a traditional dry sells from his seasons.
