10 years of FIFNo Europa League and No Champions. Next season lets make Champions league or Europa League and just use way more youngsters. By mid season if we need to bring in a big player then do so. I don't see Lavezzi coming to not play in Europe or bringing in Isla who will play Champions. I prefer we don't get either. Save the money for 2014 That and all the players will be over priced anyway because of the Europa League.

10 years of FIFYeah worries me a little too...imagine Raineri was hired later in the season, when there were only 7 games to go...and he had that 7 match winning streak.
We would be extending him for 3 years!

FIF Special OnesForum Supporter10 years of FIFBut seriously guys... if you are actually disappointed at this season then surely you were way too optimistic in September.. It was clear as day that we weren't going to make the Champions League with this squad...
But in January, we almost made it.. say what you want about Ranieri, about his tactics.. about his substitutions or whatever but on January 29th 2012, we actually had a chance for the Scudetto. He had a system, however flawed it was, a system that worked, that won games against Parma and was able to beat Milan, Cagliari and Lazio. But It needed reinforcements, it needed a striker/a winger and Ranieri requested that. Moratti ignored him.. for what reason.. we may never know. perhaps it was to save money for a big signing in the summer (Kevin Constant) or because he thought the squad was good enough.. this proved to be a mistake and it is what cost us the season.
Strama came won games, drew games, lost games. I can't call him good, bad, or even average. But I can guarantee that he will be sacked in the same manner Ranieri, Benitez and Gasperini were if Moratti doesn't revamp this squad and expects him to make miracles happen. To the 2011-2012 season I bid you adieu, hopefully it is the worst season I will ever have to endure as an Interista.. Now begins my favorite part of the year, the summer market!
We must be active! We must act with haste! We must be smart! We must have a plan and act in accordance with it! And we simply CANNOT wait until the waning days of August before making a move! We're lucky to be in the Europa League right now.. Next year we may not be so lucky..

So it wasn't the fairytale ending to a season that just wasn't meant to be.......From the outset there was controversy in the summer with the sale of Etoo and the constant speculation that Wes would go to Manchester United......To the appointment of Gasperini our 5th choice coach, after Leonardo jumped ship to Paris (which as much as the management tried to hide, it did catch us offguard). Gasp only lasted 5 official games and then we hired Mr Ranieri who after a run of positive results without great play to go with it, crashed after the new year as the negative vibe around the way we played caught up with us and Mr looked like he did not have a clue on how to fix it. That coupled with an early exit to the CL against a weak Marsille team and it was time for Mr to go......
So with 9 games to go we had our third coach in charge in one season in Andrea Stramaccioni....Something that must never happen again if we want to move forward starting next season. He came to us when all looked lost and gave the team a breath of fresh air with his youthful ways, desire to play some attacking football and a positive vibe that almost immediately rubbed off on the team. Yes he wasn't perfect and by no means did he perform miracles as this team needs more than just motivation to get it back up again, but he did give us our identity back.
From the first game against Genoa the "Pazza Inter" DNA was restored. Something I have witnessed over the past 17 years of ups and downs supporting my beloved club (More downs than ups I tell you). There were high moments such as the Derby demolition last week and the dispatching of Udinese at their own ground and not so high moments like Parma and the loss last night to Lazio. Throw a couple of draws in the mix against teams that we would have beaten over our last 5 or so years of triumphs and we end up finishing 6th place.
Don't get me wrong, I am very dissapointed with this season because like all sports fans, we want our team to win every year. But I think this is a season that we needed to have in a way, so that everyone associated with the club, understands that continuous change is not only necessary but a must in order to keep the high standards up. The club must not rest, starting today in order to rebuild the team for next season (So Branca no holidays in Mercato PLEASE). MM must examine every aspect of the club from the ground up in order to get us moving in the right direction again. Some hard decisions must be made but we cannot shy away from them.
In order to get back up, The first thing we need to do is tie down Strama to a contract and back him to go through the in's an outs of the team. A mix of youth from our Next Gen champs, some old heads that can still mix it and give the necessary experience and a few critical signings to reinforce the areas of need. I believe that Strama is the man to do this 100%. He deserves to be given a go. From a business standpoint we need to put together a model to try and build the club in every way off the field....
All of this is going to take time so the club and us as fans are going to need to be PATIENT.....We need to change from a club that tries for instant success and create an environment that encourages development in every aspect. This needs to be the backbone in order to create a future full of success and be able to maintain it.
I have been tied to this club for over half of my life and will continue to do so until the day I stop breathing. I have Interista blood flowing through me....I cop this season on the chin like so many in the past and I will rise up for next season to support the team unconditionally in our strive to succeed again.....
I know we will return to the days of success if all of us support and believe in what is to come.......FORZA EVERYTHING INTER.....NON MOLLARE MAI......

10 years of FIFI wanted the Champions League, we need the money, but at least maybe this wakes up Moratti thats we need players as well. I'm not talking about making huge signings but we need players it is obvious. We'll be back its not the end of the world as we know it.
