I wonder why some of you guys are that optimistic with a granted win. This will be a hard fought game for sure, mainly looking at how inconsistent we have been performing since some time. We tend to do well only in one half, be it first or second. It is a very important game against them in their own turf. We will have to give our best and hopefully, will perform well in both the halves.

Handanovic will be surely missed again and I am quite nervous with Padelli keeping for us. Aside that, we are slowly having all our players back (Sanchez, Martinez, Sensi) and that is a great news for us. I am a bit optimistic for sure but also am aware that it will be a 50-50 for both the sides.

We should try to play this game in a way so that we don't get exposed to counter-attacks as easily as normally. Lazio is a deadly counter-attacking team and Immobile is specially deadly in counter-attacks. If we take counter-attacks out of their game, Immobile is not that great anymore.

We need to bite the bullet in this one and just play defensive match with a decisive, fast counter-attacks. Something we haven't done at all lately.

Thing is, for us to become productive we have to play a way that makes us exposed to counter-attacks. One of the first things I noticed after the 1 game of this season was how Conte makes all the team go forward. This tactic has contributed to many of our midfielder participating in the attack and also scoring goals. If we remove this contribution from midfielder and make them stay back then our attack may be 2018/2019 all over again with us kicking the ball to Lukaku and hoping for the best like we did with Icardi at times.


And whatever happens, I never ever want to see us going back to the tactic "pass the ball to candreva --> candreva crosses --> misses the penalty area --> ball goes out on the other side.

It is a shame that we must win for our toughest games against direct competitors in away games. Our loss against jupe really messed everything up because now we have to win in their stadium to balance the point matchup because we cannot expect them to keep losing points. Now we also must win against Lazio because a draw would mean two title contentders are losing points and you bet jupe will be grinning ear-to-ear to see such best case scenario.

I don’t think they’re the best team, nor do I think they’re the worst matchup for us (that would be Atalanta or juve.)

And while they deserve their standing, they’ve also played plenty of poor games, like last week’s controversial victory at Parma.
