Pathetic display in the 2nd half. Our attack has lost its bite without Lukaku and Hakimi, the two game changing cracks we had in our team. And Inzaghi has fucked our world class defence with is gung-ho tactics. You can see the players gradually losing their discipline, mentality & organisation that Conte worked so hard to develop.

This is going to be a long season, interisti. Brace yourselves. As I feared about this Inter against good teams, we are staring at the last option below:

This is the first of the two games which will give us an idea whether this Inter can win the Scudetto. My main concern about this Inter from the beginning is whether we can beat top sides. Next 8 days will be very telling, even if we ignore the midweek CL game. This is how I would interpret the results from these 2 games vs Lazio and Juve. If we get:

4 to 6 points: My concerns are allayed, we are on the right track and can win the title
2 to 3 points: Inconclusive, but at least there is a chance
0 to 1 point: This is what I am really worried about. Forget the title, top 4 will be a struggle.

Lautaro
My biggest worry is that there was no game plan, no chemistry between the players. It was a bad game from most players but the lack of a teamdisplay was the biggest shock for me.
IMO, our midfield is used to both Lukaku and Lautaro being more proactive, they were often shifting into free spaces and making available themselves for passes. With Dzeko you need a much creative midfield I guess, because you almost have to spoon-feed him so that he can score a goal. Unless Eriksen miraculously comes back on the pitch I don't see anyone being able to do that. Hakan probably was brought for that purpose but he is far from being that fantasista.

something i would like to add talking about the lazio goals: it's ridicilous that something like that is always penalty but the handball from de ligt against bologna (1-2 years ago) are not penaltys, only because he first got the ball on the leg. So as long your touching the ball with the foot or leg, it's not penalty, even if youre basically "save" the ball like a keeper would do. But handballs like that from Bastoni are penaltys, where you basically don't have time to react, where the arm was close to the body. Fucking shit....

We were good for the first hour. Then that strange penalty happened followed by that 2nd goal and everything fell apart. Hope the team bounce back from this against Sheriff.

Pissed it away there but it’s not so surprising as:
- Lolberto Gagliardini should not play under any circumstances
- Vecino is not much better
- We don’t seem to have an alternative to Dzeko
- we are wasteful as usual.

Lazio’s second was cheap and nasty, but I don’t really blame them for it to be honest. They didn’t brake the rules, it just wasn’t fair play. Actually we left Anderson totally free somehow for the rebound, which was our mistake.

Our defensive unit looking bad without Conte, Orialli, Pintus and Stellini.

Only two clean sheet so far.

Without Skriniar maybe no cleansheet.

Remind me Inter pre Conte era. Serie A Champion team not like this.
Yea I don't exactly miss Conte, but I do miss Orialli, Pintus and Stellini, but to be fair without Conte at least Pintus and Stellini won't join.

Fucking fascist scumbags. Still pissed off with them regardless of how badly we played.

Inzaghi got his subs wrong tonight. Correa ineffective and the 1:1 sub with Gagliardini was useless. This is the kind of game when I wish Vidal would have a cameo.

Eriksen, Sensi, Sanchez, Vidal, all the players Inter are paying, but were not available tonight. It's a cope, and we were shit, but since Inzaghi is taking soooo much time to make this team work consistently, you need players like those to compensate.

Perisic did great in his role and overall the first half was good imo
Not paying for Eriksen anymore.

Although the Danish international’s contract stipulates that it will charge € 9.83M gross (7.5M net), from Italy they report that Eriksen’s is a special case. And it is that, after the heart problem suffered in Euro 2020, it is the ‘FIFA Insurance’ who is taking over the footballer’s salary.

As reported by this media, Inter Milan was covered by the “FIFA Club Protection Program 2019-2022” after Eriksen’s myocardial infarction during Denmark-Finland. “This is a program created to provide compensation (based on the player’s fixed salary) to clubs in the event that players participating in the national team suffer an injury that forces them to stop for more than 28 consecutive days”, informs Football and Finance. The ‘FIFA Insurance’ intervenes in very specific cases (such as Eriksen’s), covering a maximum of € 7.5M for 365 days of unemployment. That is, a very important part of the salary of the Nerazzurri ’10’, without taking into account the € 1.5M in bonuses.

To this fact is also added the so-called ‘Growth Decree‘(“Growth Decree”) that exists in Italy. Said decree, as reported I am calcium, allows clubs to save taxes on those players who have had their tax residence outside of Italy for at least two years prior to their arrival in Serie A and that they maintain their tax residence in the transalpine country for at least two years after their arrival. A ‘Growth Decree’ to which Christian Eriksen’s contract also applies. The Dane arrived at the Interista team in the 2019/2020 season from English Tottenham, where he had played the last seven seasons.

By the beginning of next week, we could potentially be 10 points behind league leaders Napoli.

I did not think the defence of our championship would be over by round 9.

The first time in years I changed the channel before an Inter game was over…
I know we have our excuses for not doing well (away game, international break, players are tired), but the players are venting their frustrations at the wrong target.
Hope it’s a positive catalyst for our upcoming games.
