So we've signed a hardcore Inter an 23 year old RV, resigned our best striker since etoo imho, signed a hot young prospect aged only 20 who is showing to be potentially at the first team level already, and you think nothing exciting has happened???

I think we are still a de vrij replacement and a spare striker short, but this has been a solid transfer window so far

Calling this transfer window solid is beyond disingenuous.

-We've been actively trying to sell Bastoni and Skriniar, and knowing management still might do so if PSG even slightly adds to their offer.
-We had Dybala waiting around for us and failed to sign him to a very reasonable contract.
-We chose Armenian Messi as our vice midfielder, not because he provides characteristics we need, but because he was "free."
-We let Perisic walk for free and now our reserve LWB is Darmian.
-We still haven't replaced Ranocchia and are one injury away from starting D'Ambrosio.

This is not a solid Mercato. This is a "we're broke, this is what we scrounged together," Mercato. The ONLY area this squad is definitively better than it was last season is at striker; courtesy of a 8M€ loan.

And yet this team is still imho a substantial upgrade from last season. The only area we are weaker is potentially Perisic/Gosens. Shopping people around or not is irrelevant while they're still here - if either of them do leave then I will reassess my opinion, but as it currently stands, we've lost Perisic, Vidal, Vecino, Kolarov, Radu, Ranocchia, and brought in Onana, Asllani, Mkhi, Lukaku and Bellanova. And reduced our wages substantially. I'm fucking delighted with that

We really need one more CB and preferably someone with some pace that can play on the right side. Milenkovic at least ticked one of those boxes, however links have dried up. At this point even a cheap gamble on a youngish player with upside might be the best move. Someone in a mold of a Kalulu would be ideal, however if we’re being honest Milan got extremely lucky that kid panned out.

It will be solid if Skrinar stay imo. Even if we sell Dumfries and Casadei, and get Singo, it still will be good enough.

I also have a bad feeling about this season. 5th or 6th place wouldnt shock me one bit.

I don’t think it will be that bad. Purely based on the fact that serie A is weak as shit. I think 2-4 is realistic.

We desperately need another CB and even forward imo considering Dzeko is becoming subhuman levels of ineffective.

I think is summer market would have been a solid one if Inter’s decision-makers were more assertive on who is for sale and the time period for selling.

Although markets are unpredictable, sporting decisions need to made in order not to derail a season.

The club can’t be serious when after missing Bremer, it still is actively trying to sell Skriniar without a replacement already being here or having one lined up.

It’s these decisions, which shows Inter is not being properly run.

Even if the decision was to recruit young prospects instead, such as Raoul, then at least bring them in early to allow them time to settle.

Poor mercato so far , we failed to address the issues of the team, badly need more reinforcement in the back but still actively put skriniar and dumfries on transfer list.
If until the end of the transfer window and we still didn't address the issue then it's a disappointing mercato.

Suning surely has to sell the club, the situation it's not going to be any better

It's hard to stay positive when you know something is cleary wrong at the moment, sooner or later what's going on with the owner will affect the players

I hope we can go through this, and prove the others wrong, forza for the first match, non mollare mai !

Failed to address the issues? We got a Broz backup, we signed a goalscoring striker, got some actually good depth in goal.

It's not perfect, don't get me wrong, a new CB at the first team level would be nice as would another striker, but I think we ar a lot better

I would like to see Bastoni-Skriniar-Dambro trio starting against Lecce. I think Danilo is looking good and I would like to see Skriniar at centre instead of De Vrij.

If i was Lecce id just decide to play in a dark jersey. That way if Inter dont have a bright one, they automatically lose.

His season was horrible partly because of his big mouth and partly due to the inability of the coach to use him properly. Despite the form, he is obvious upgrade over Dzeko, Sanchez and Correa.

Onana is supposed to play a second fiddle this season, but if Handanovic underperforms, he will be much, much better option to have than Radu.
Mkhitaryan is a replacement of Hakan, and imo once he gets used to the players and system will be decent for us. For me Asllani is more like Vidal's replacement at this point. He seems to me too green to get instantly Brozovic's spot, but i see that he has good ball control and even likes to attack. That makes him an option for barella's substitute, and i'd like to see him there instead of Gagliardini. Bellanova at this moment really looks lik gamble, and i would trust him manly against opponents like Lecce.
About a back up CB, as i said for me was mistake to let Ranocchia leave, but done is done. Now we have two options - to get some old shit like Acerbi, or to risk with some primavera player like Fontanarosa. I'm in favor of the second scenario.

I don't get how anyone can be mad about Asllani and Bellanova transfers. And then people moan about Inter signing veterans. You can't get it right for everyone ever clearly.

I guess because it feels like we haven’t fixed squad depth problem we had last year, all replacements need to be seen in real match, contract renewals situation, not sure if Skriniar staying yet… all cause uncertainty which is reasonable.
