First team to beat Liverpool at Anfield in a year... at least there is that.

Don't blame Sanchez, he put in a shift for two. He was super aggressive and our best player till he was on the pitch. Vidal and Skriniar had great games too. We leave Anfield with our heads high. A lot of Liverpool fans are messaging me saying they are so impressed with Inter - we literally left an impression on the fans (and possibly Fabinho's shin).

I’m really impressed considering it’s Liverpool. With either Hakimi or Lukaku we might have gone through. Hell we almost did it with these lot.

Excellent display given the circumstances.

Poor first half but we held on.

We turned up the pressure and it gave us a great goal, then momentum was bust after that questionable yellow card.

Just a reminder that we had one forced sub at half time (I can only assume) with D'Ambrosio for De Vrij. We also had a Brozovic knock that deprived us of Gosens coming on and instead Gagliardini was introduced.

I would have appreciated a bigger risk like Gosens for Hakan and Perisic playing in the middle rather than seeing Vecino.

But look at this: We are the only team to beat Liverpool at Anfield this season playing with 10 men and finishing the game with Gagliardini, Vecino, D'Ambrosio and Darmian, in a CL knockout game to top it all.
If I asked anyone if that was possible back in 2019 you'd be laughing. Instead, we're extending the contract of the guy who made it happen

Obviously the score could have been anything in this game and Liverpool applied a lot of pressure, but we'll take this Pyrrhic victory.

Chin up guys, we can only move forward from here.
Agree until the last line lol

Good win, but in reality Inter could have lost badly, 3 (or 4? i lost count) liverpool posts.

Sanchez is a proper moron, he ruined everything just when the team gained momentum from the goal, regardless of the fact that his second booking wasnt that bad, he should have known he was on thin ice considering he should have had a straight red on the first.

Vidal was outstanding tonight btw.

We can be proud of the boys. With a bit more discipline from Sanchez and barella and who knows.

Hopefully the win at anfield gives us the push for the final stretch of the season

The morale so high after last match 5-0.

We probably win Scudetto with this form.

Referee trolling us with 2nd yellow btw :yao:

Like I said, we always had a chance to do some damage even against such a strong side as Liverpool. Hopefully our players will see that they are ready for the next step and that all these Borussia/Real Madrid/Barca/Liverpool teams we have played in the last few CL campaigns are not that scary.

And appointing Inzaghi was the right call. Now finish the season in style and then revamp the team, especially our bench.

Congratulations to Liverpool. Played honourably. The ref had been a cunt to both teams.

I'm so proud of our players. We should have no delusion and we must aim for a domestic double now.

I liked the ref, the only problem is that his way of refereeing might've helped injure Brozović. Hopefully it's just a fatigue thing and not an injury.

I wonder if had Liverpool scored on their 3 attempts that hit the posts, if people would still write this "proud of the team" stuff.

Lautaro scored a wonder goal, apart that Inter were never close to scoring. Not sure what there is to be so proud about.
