lnter fans march against Moratti Saturday 5 June, 2004

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nerazzurri supporters are furious with the club’s latest transfer policies and plan a march against patron Massimo Moratti’s leadership.

“This is the first time after nine years of humiliation that a group of fans have organised a march that points the finger of blame squarely at Moratti as the main man responsible for these endless failures,” read a statement from the ‘Interisti Indipendenti’ club.

“We will demand that Moratti steps aside and starts to consider offers to buy out the club.”

This is not the first time that the hard-line fans have turned against their chief, and earlier this season Moratti resigned as President in order to place Giacinto Facchetti in charge.

However, the recent reports of Christian Vieri’s probable move to Juventus and the failure to sign Coach Fabio Capello when the chance was there infuriated supporters.

The march will move through the streets of Milan on Monday evening and the slogan leading the parade will be, ‘Moratti: Enough is enough!’

True but it is different now. ;) Facchetti is the boss now and I refuse to believe he would lie! :)

A word of advice, based on my club's experiance: do not kick out Moratti until there is someone on the sidelines waiting to take over from him.

Moratti is still the boss

OK, I don't understand one thing:
Moratti have step down last year from the position Fachetti took over since. Now Fachetti should be the man who have the last word regarding transfers and actually all about our transfer policies, BUT I only have heard Moratti making declarations about transfers and rumours. So what the hell is going on now? I think Moratti is still the boss at Inter and Fachetti holds only a formal role at the club. IMO Moratti only have step down because of the pressure on him and to silence fans wanting his head, but still directs everything at the club just like before.

We all know moratti still calls the shots and those who thinks otherwise are naive. Fachetti hasn't said shit since the season ended all we hear on inter.it is moratti if he wasn't calling the shots anymore he wouldn't be on inter.it giving interviews.

Well, i´m a bit naive then. :)

Of course owner has more power than president, but i dont believe Moratti still calls the shots. At least not all. If he was in charge, he would have definitely fired Zac already.

Fachetti hasn't said shit since the season ended all we hear on inter.it is moratti if he wasn't calling the shots anymore he wouldn't be on inter.it giving interviews.
I remember Moratti has said at least two times to reporters that "Why you still bother me, ask Facchetti" and "There is a president and I think you should talk to him. There is a board of directors, so it will be them that tell us exactly and propose what to do. "

Anywayz, if i would live in Milano, i wouldn´t join this march. :finger: to those fans. :)

Andy Simpson (some of you know him) said it best: "You don't know what you've got until its gone..."

In case anyone wants to join these protesting fans, then you can see their invitation located in here.

But, i read few days ago that Moratti has already asked police to keep this riot in peace and away from his property.

I agree completely with Tommi on this one. Call me naive if you want but the fact is that both Moratti and Facchetti has great power within Inter. The idea of Moratti pulling the club´s prominent directors and even the President like a puppet show is in my humble opinion utopia.

Guys, I believe you are all forgettin something. It's true, Facchetti now is the president. But who puts the money? Mr. Moratti. And so he's got the final decision on everything. As in all the teams. Berlusconi did in Bilan and Agnelli in Juve.
