Apparently, Bayern are interested because they think Luis must be good if Inter are interested.

Just some raw stats to watch out...he had 6 goals and 4 assists in first 12 rounds (until beginning of December). Since that he has 1 goal and 1 assist in 17 matches.

Dalbert was not that fast. This guy also has superior technique and can dribble. I know we had a Brazilian flop here but outside of them both being Brazilian and playing in Ligue 1 they really don’t have much in common. I’m glad our directors don't think like that and base players on their merit. He could come here and flop but it has nothing to do with Dalbert. A lot of talent comes out of Ligue 1.

Milan's entire squad is build out of Ligue 1 talents.

You're also overlooking the biggest comparison between Dalbert and Luis - they're both named Henrique!

Footmercato claim that the Nerazzurri have sealed personal terms for a five-year deal that will run to June 2030

I'm confused. Is this guy a winger? We don't play with wingers, so will he take the wingback position, or play some free roaming second striker role?

Well now that it’s happening might aswell just accept it and take the positives.

Summary:

Pros:
- He does improve the team, even if we haven’t seen much of him, if you watch clips you’ll see that he’s fast and is good in 1 v 1s. Even defending 1 v 1 is good. I saw him against Barcola.

- Adds a different kind of threat to our attack, and 100% a better rotation option than Darmian. Has 7 goals and 5 assists so even the output is good.

Cons:
- 29M is a hefty price and hopefully it isnt a large portion of our budget since we need to address CB, ST and LCM

I have a feeling we will have a big summer of spending though. We haven’t spent much for two years and we’ve done well in europe. We’ll have contracts of our books and probably sell Frattesi and Asllani.

The fact he failed as a winger and he had to be converted to a wingback suggests his end product is lacking. Also 29m is a massive sum for a wingback who just has one good season in his career.

Anyway, since he's coming hopefully he will be good. Prove us wrong.

Failed winger turned wingback this season.

Surely that won't mean we'd be open to listen to a potential Dumfries offer....

This guy had just a half good season. He doesn't deliver since January 2025, and he wasn't something special last season,.even though he hadn't played too much. I've checked the stats only, i haven't watched him.

Spending 30mln on a guy with decent couple of months seems as very dumb decision.

I recall that Ricardo Rodriguez had a very good season in Wolfsburg around 10 years ago, and when he went in Milan was completely mediocre. Henrique doesn't look impressive even in YouTube highlights videos. I hope he is just a somekscreen for somebody else or we won't spend more than 15 mln on him.

Yep, he certainly fits the profile of the sort of player we need the shore up the right wing back position. Now we have to hope that he can do a lot better than our other recent signings in the 30m proximity like Frattesi, Correa and to an extent Pavard.

Henrique's profile is something we direly need. We can't rely on Dumfries all season long and we urgently need a backup. Darmian's decline is getting more obvious and Zalewski is seemingly more comfortable on the left (that if we redeem him). Moreover, remember that Dumfries is 29 years old now and we must already plan his replacement. Henriques will help Dumfries to rest as well as to provide competition for the RWB position. He also will help alleviating our shortcomings in speed and take on ability.

Is it prudent to spend 29 M for Henrique while there are gaping holes in CCB, CM, and ST positions? The transfer is the idiotic one if we flush the entire transfer budget only for Henrique. Conversely, it is a necessary signing considering the factors mentioned in the previous paragraph.

Ultimately, does Henrique worth such a hefty transfer fee? I honestly have no idea for I haven't seen a single second of his clip. No matter how matching is his profile with our necessity, it will be useless if he is out of depth. I would leave the decision to our management. Considering how much money we earn throughout this season and the management is the competent one, I have confidence that Henrique could improve our team while still having spare fund to strengthen other positions.
