He played as a left winger yesterday.

We already have Nicola Zalewski, and Inter plans to redeem him. I don’t understand why Inter is planning to spend a lot of money—€25M—on a left wing-back. Other positions like forward, center-back, and right wing-back need reinforcement more than this position

He wouldn't be a left wingback, but right wingback.

Do you guys actualy read the thread or your memory resets after a few hours? He can play on both sides, so the investment is about covering both RWB and LWB positions.

And also having 5 wingbacks is good for us and I'm not even counting Darmian! Especially since two of them can play on both sides. Pur wingbacks get tired, I'd rather have more of them than less.

I hope this works out, because there's a standard move that we'd pull in other seasons which would be a cheeky 2 year deal for Zappacosta :D

Yeah, that means Darmian, if he stays, can be a sub on defense. Unfortunately, that opens the door for Bisseck to be sold. I don't like the latter portion at all.

This. Get Darmian back to CB, redeem Zalewski, and get Zappacosta. We’d have five proven WBs for the next years. Next season we could easily get Zanotti back and loan him in Serie A so he can be ready to follow Zappacosta.

I read on another forum that Marseille fans have a very negative opinion of him and will be lucky if they sell this player for 20-30 million, they are looking for a loser club to sell this illiquid.

While I absolutely agree that if Darmian stays it should be as primarily a RCB back-up, why would you need Zappacosta if there were Dumfries, Luis Henrique, Di Marco, Carlos Augusto and Zalewski all available?

It’s cute that we are poaching our CL final opponents coach
