At least in my case, rather than defend him, it was about parting ways on good terms

He did the bare minimum in both years, for which I thank him, now it's time to move on.

I respect the person, I don't like him much as a coach: he's stubborn, hasn't learnt anything from his mistakes, Inter's game plan has been painful to watch for at least this whole season.

I hope he doesn't try to screw Suning too much on the two years of wages left. It's his legal right to hold on to the last penny, but if he could agree on a golden handshake tomorrow (which is when a meeting is scheduled, according to gazzetta), that would be best.

The funniest part of all this is, is that the only reason their hero Conte would even think about coming here is because of Spalletti's work in bringing us to the CL.

People forget that Spalletti found a team that didn't even make it to the Europa league and on a shoestring budget managed to give us CL football for two years in a row, with a weaker team with the added caveat of European football, injury crises and drama in the second season. That's the truth, deal with it.

He was just lucky that CL spots went from 3 to 4. Just lucky.
Тhis.
Mancini achieved absolutely the same with worst squad but in wrong time.
Not impressed by his work till now. Solid defense, mainly because Skriniar, Miranda and De Vraj than some great coaching skills. Disastrous midfield and chaotic attack. Nothing spectacular. Same boring possession football as De Boer's.

If only Spalletti had the players Mancini had - Shaqiri, prime Perišić, Icardi, Jovetić, Ljajić, K-Dog - I could see him playing better football than Mancini did.

His brother passed away today, apparently he missed a training session to be with him last week.

People were complaining about his demeanor during the press conference before the game, some times we forget these people are human too.

69 points. I've already said everything in other posts on this thread, this is all I'm going to say.

I wonder what your guys attitude would be if we deservedly were in 5th place on 69 points if Roma and Milan didn't choke.
"Got us to CL twice"
Twice my ass. He got us to CL one time and Milan got us to CL the second.

I said in the FIF whatsapp group....

Spallo has to go for sure. It will be very costly to do so but he's got to go.

That said, Inter has to REALLY think about what is wrong with our club. Spallo was a coach who has played exciting, dynamic, system-based, penetrating attacking football his entire life, regardless of the players at his disposal. That is important to note, is that he's done so REGARDLESS OF THE PLAYERS at his disposal.

Why when he comes here, he cannot express that at all? Forget total implementation, but even just an expression of that dynamic attacking prowess is missing. Totally.

Yes. I feel it's because this club is not professional enough. Players have too much freedom, they can play their games too much. I hope Marotta will change that with Conte. More structure, more rules and guidelines how you can act and behave. Basic stuff when there are a group of people trying to do shit (like a company).

I think there's been too much heritage from Moratti era, where star players were the absolute kings in the club.

The total number of points is the same. Roma Lazio earning less points means the other teams are stronger. Milan and Atalanta are stronger than last year too. Why you look only to one side of the page but ignore the other?

We play vs 19 teams, not 2.

If not his football, I'm gonna miss his wild pitchside expressions and gesticulations.

As someone said of him, he was born to be thespian. Imagine the range he could display in a production of Nosferatu

I believe #3 and #5 were from the same clip. The 4th one was from a missed chance I believe.

They had a Conte Cam during Euro 2016 because it was so entertaining to watch him on the sidelines.

My thoughts on the arrival of Conte's announcement + delay due to Spalletti's brother passing. I am very curious as to what the rest of the forum think. I have been one of his biggest critics this season, but in wake of our final moments, he handled everything above and beyond like a professional.

News of his family situation really made me applaud his exit. All the best Luciano, welcome Antonio.

Sick jersey collection.

Ciao, Spalletti. Thank you for meeting the objective of CL qualification despite of our shitty shitty season.
