Some of you really love Simeone here. Do you watch Atletico play? They' ve been playing like shit for 2 years now. Simeone does not deserve to be the highest payed coach in the world. He's being outcoached by teams that Atletico should be trashing by 3 goals.

Simeone should have left a few years ago. Now a days a coach can really only stay at a club for 5 years or so in most cases. After that the message gets stale. Part of what made Sir ALex so great was his ability to recreate the team over and over again.

Klopp last seasons at Dortmund were even worse. They finished almost 20 points behind Bayern in his second to last season and in his last they were at the botton of the table at the end of first round and they ended up finishing 7th. We all have seen what Klopp achieved at Liverpool after leaving Dortmund. Simeone is in a similar situation at Atletico. He has given everything he could. He needs to accept it, like Klopp did, and move on.

^^ I rate Klopp higher than Simeone, with all the respect to Diego, he is just a different spirit.

back on-topic: Report: Spalletti turns down Chile

According to reports in Italy, Luciano Spalletti has turned down an offer from the Chilean Federation and won’t accept a new job before his contract with Inter expires in June.

The former Roma and Inter coach is reported to be in talks to replace Colombia bound Reinaldo Rueda, becoming the new head coach of Chile national team.

According to FcInternews, however, the Italian tactician has turned down the offer as he wants to see-off his contract with the Nerazzurri who sacked him in summer 2019 to hire Antonio Conte.

The report claims Spalletti felt betrayed by the Nerazzurri with whom he had gained two successive Champions League placements.

Spalletti earns €5m-a-year and his contract with the Serie A giants will expire this coming June.

He will only accept new jobs after the expiration of his contract, the report claims.

» Honestly, that`s probably what I would have done in Lucky Luciano`s shoes, so I won`t blame him, but the person offering him such a long contract.

Take the money that you are owed Luciano, that's perfectly justified, but drop the high and mighty act - you are not god's gift to football, and especially not god's gift to Inter, you fucked up plenty and your sacking was fully justified.

The only betrayal was extending his contract. That was some fucked up Inter-esque decision.

He was offered the Chile job but said no until his contract with Inter is done!! Fking Cubt!!

Chile was only offering 3 million. What other club is he going to go to. What mid table teams in Italy pay?

Sadly when Conte gets fired no one will take him

Inter Could Receive Financial Boost If Former Nerazzurri Boss Luciano Spalletti Re-Joins Roma, Italian Media Report

Inter could be set for a much-needed financial boost with former boss Luciano Spalletti linked with a return to Roma, as per a report in Italy today.

As per Rai Sport, Paulo Fonseca’s future is hanging in the balance in the capital and the Giallorossi, should they part ways with the Portuguese tactician, could look to bring Spalletti back to the club for what would be a third spell in charge at the Stadio Olimpico.Massimiliano Allegri and Maurizio Sarri are both also said to be in the running but Spalletti appears to be the favourite as things stand.

Spalletti taking charge at Roma would be good news for Inter, who would no longer be required to pay him as per his contract until the end of this season.

Inter dismissed Spalletti in the summer of 2019 after two seasons in charge to make way for Antonio Conte’s arrival as head coach, but they have continued to pay the former Zenit St Petersburg boss with his contract not due to expire until June.

It’s just hit home that we’ve paid his wages now for nearly 2 years after his dismissal, depressing really.

Report: Napoli have convinced Spalletti

Napoli have reportedly convinced Luciano Spalletti, who seems set to succeed Gennaro Gattuso at the Stadio Diego Maradona.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports patron Aurelio De Laurentiis has chosen the former Inter and Roma tactician as the new head coach for the Partenopei.

Former Milan coach Gattuso seems set to leave the Azzurri, even if he should bring Champions League football back to Naples.

The newspaper claims Spalletti has been in continuous talks with De Laurentiis about the roles to be reinforced in the squad.

The two parties have not reached an agreement on the financial terms of the deal, as Spalletti has asked for €4m and Napoli have offered €2.5m plus bonuses.

But the report claims the deal can be closed at €3m a season and that Spalletti is close to joining the Partenopei ahead of 2021-22.

Happy to see that Sarri seems set to sit out his juBentus contract :D

Excellent choice for him. That roster was begging for someone like Spalletti ever since Sarri left. Too bad for them that Mertens turned 34.

Zhang's Ok
This guys cashed a scudetto bonus sitting on his ass :trollol:

"Spalletti, as foreseen by the contract, will also collect the Scudetto prize, won on the field by his successor and a team that was no longer his. But Inter are ready to take revenge. According to what Tuttosport writes, in fact, in all likelihood the Nerazzurri will not grant Spalletti and Napoli the release form for the official presentation at the press conference before 1 July."

This tool has been playing with himself and taking money for to long, if Inter wants to mess with him a little it's ok with me.
