His contract has been deposited to the league so he can be considered official. On Youth section for now till we see what Inter intend to do with him.

I am not saying Slovenian league is that good, but for an 18 year old, he stands out... And from the matches i watched, he did well... Still needs lots of work, but i could see him become pretty good, especially if he is developed good... Hope he gets loaned out to some team where he will get playing time and hope its not Serie B. We should not waste him in the primavera.

Hopefully not the next Illiev.
We have never been successful with buying young talent from the balkans and then nurturing them in the Primavera.
Maybe Pandev is the only exception and even him was developed by other teams to return then to Inter at the end of his career

What have we actually been good at nurturing exactly?

Slovenia is not in the Balkans

:pazzini:
Gographically it is partially on the peninsula, so it really more a definition thing. Historically you also have more than strong argument for saying that it is.

There just not a universal truth in regards to Slovenia as it can be seen as as well as not, probably because the country existing in the border region

In reality Slovenia is both Balkan and Central from geographical, historical, cultural and ethnically point of views.

You are not from Slovenia so you don't have the right to say that. At least we speak a similar language to most of the Balkans, while Greece doesn't.

Slovenia is Balkan if you like it or not.

Australia speaks English, thus they're in the British Isles

It's the Balkan Peninsula, named after the Balkan mountains who sat between Bulgaria and Serbia and their watershed leads to the Aegean and the Black Sea, so you're too far north to be included.

I'm giving you a way out, take it :pazzini:

You have no clue how culturally Slovenia is linked to the Balkans. I can't blame you for the things you don't know.

Of course I do, but the "Balkans" is a geographic term not a cultural.

Anyway, I've never seen anyone, let alone a Slovenian, be so adamant to be included in this shitfest of a group

Bastoni is not an Inter product. But Benassi, Caldirola, Destro are, to name more players who made it to Serie A from Inter academy.

The Balkans is geographical for Greece. It's way deeper, more cultural for others because of all family connections and other similarities. I'm not adamant to be included, it's just facts.

Straight from the Britannica

There is no universal agreement on what constitutes the Balkans. However, the following are usually included: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, and Slovenia. Portions of Greece and Turkey are also within the Balkan Peninsula.
