So he gets a goal today, and it forces me to speculate what might have been at Inter.
Let's be honest, when he signed I think we were all fairly eager to see what he could offer, and perhaps if he played well enough then the possibility of a permanent move could be discussed.
Ultimately, he's been absent in pretty much every game. The formation hasn't suited him, because he is an open-space player. As technically gifted as the modern footballer must be, Poldi isnt at his most effective playing in the tight spaces of a 4-3-1-2 as it offers so little width. Yes, perhaps he doesn't justify changing the formation under the vision Mancio has created (lol), but if we have him here then we might as well give him a chance to be effective.
It hasn't worked out, he doesn't fit with us. Should have been sent back a long time ago, but I don't think anyone can deny his quality. On paper, a good signing, but it's one of those situations where you can't predict how it will pan out until some time has passed. He is a gifted player, but not an Inter player. Just my thoughts...
