I'm gonna have to agree with Visca, GO EARTHQUAKES!!! Even though I don't know a single player or coach.... I'll just take the locals.

LOL so you follow every sport known on earth even Cricket now, yet you do not follow the MLS? You are off your game man...I expected you to have a favorite MLS, USL, NASL and PDL teams!

You let me down!

BTW...San Jose has a player on loan from Spurs lol

MLS is minor league soccer to me. Ever since the original earthquakes with Landon Donovan moved to Houston, I lost passion for it. I only like the current earthquakes casually because Billy Beane partially owns them.

PS: I don't follow Handball, Badminton or Lacrosse... unless it involves NCAA stuff.

Also why is this thread in the "Italian and European leagues" when it's obviously in North America? LOL

Go Caps! The inaugural season kicks off against fellow Canadian team, TFC on Saturday afternoon. I could never root for a Toronto team so I never paid much attention to MLS but this year will be different. Hope to catch a few home games as well.

Thought the descriptions made it fit better here. Last year's thread was in World of Football so I figured I'd switch it up. :p

I'm going to the Red Bulls home opener tomorrow against Seattle, expecting a win.

Quality goal from Juan Agudelo to beat the Sounders. Thierry Henry missed a PK early. Most importantly, I was there.

Found it on my supporters club's Facebook page. I recommend 4:45 onwards as well as the march-in for anyone who doubts soccer support in America.

I still consider it pretty bad. Sure there's a minority that can look big in person, but all my friends just laugh at me for liking the sport more than American football.

Sounders and Chivas, all the way, for me. Not that I actively follow MLS or anything. Disappointed in the first match losses for both, but I expect the Sounders at least to bounce back with a win.

And I agree with Coaster. Support for football in the USA is far inferior to American football, baseball, basketball, etc...

re: football/soccer in America, it depends on your location. Red Bulls, Galaxy, Sounders have huge fan bases + a lot of their fans pay attention to European leagues as well. However other places it's not so popular... for example I've never actually seen an Earthquakes fan outside the stadium, EVER (even in the stadium they're lucky if they draw a couple thousand people per match).

I'm only lucky I live in the same city as the Earthquakes. Overall though, I see a few Quakes shirts here and there, but not a whole lot.

haha the only time they've come close to selling out a match is when Spurs came, and I'm pretty sure that just means the stadium was full of Spurs fans not Earthquakes fans  Quakes fans do not exist I swear!
