Welshman failed to do much against my Bruins. We won 1-0 with a golden goal in 2 E.T. I'm still unsure why he had to choose Oregon State out of all schools. Was he really that desperate for playing time?

Good luck to you guys in the Disney World Wide of Sports tournament Vito, seeing I notice your saints went 0-2-2 after beating Iona.

If he only cared about playing time, then he would have stayed at Siena...he would have played 90 minutes every match. And yes, terrible season for Siena with only 2 bright spots. They go into the MAAC tournament as the 10 seed...which is the lowest I have ever seen. Even when I played, we managed to finish ahead of Manhattan in the league and were the #8 seed in the MAAC tournament in 2007. To win only 1 game in the MAAC is pretty ridiculous, because it is a pretty weak conference...the fact that their only win was against the team that finished second in the conference is just mind-boggling...

All 16 of Siena's games were decided by 1 goal or less. If they had any kind of offense, they would have won a lot more games. I wouldn't be surprised if they win the first round match against St. Peter's and if they win that, they play Iona, the only team they beat in the conference.

If someone steps up and catches fire on offense for them, it is not completely out of the question for them to make it to the championship match. I bet this is the best 10-seed that has ever played in the conference tournament...

They are doing their best to prove me right! They are up 3-0 against the #8 seed St. Peter's. If they can hold on, they will play against the #2 seed Iona (#24 in the nation) tomorrow live on ESPN3! I hope I do not jinx them, but their defense has been solid all year, the offense was the problem...now that they have a 3 goal lead, they should be able to make it to the next round.

So if you are free around 11:15am EST tomorrow and have ESPN3, check it out!

5-0 now in the 63rd minute!

Congrats on the 5-1 win. One step closer... but at least you can beat Iona as it is proven already.

0-0 with 1 minute left in the first OT. It is golden goal and Siena just missed such a great chance...game should be over damn't!

Lost 4-3 on PK's. Dominated the OT halves, but just couldn't finish. They will only lose 2 players next year, both starters...but if they can bring in some offensive firepower, they will be fighting for the MAAC title next year!

Sorry to hear man.

We're ranked #8 in the country, undefeated in Pac-12 play as well. I'm nervous for this team, as they haven't done much outside of the conference play nationally.

On an MLS note, it's the LA Galaxy vs. Houston Dynamo for the final.

EDIT: LA Galaxy won the MLS title for 2011. Kind of a story ending for them, since they got to celebrate the title in their own house. Beckham gets something his most likely his last game in MLS, and Robbie Keane was snubbed of a goal that should have been onside. I don't care about the team, but I'm happy for Donovan.

Bah so close. UCLA lost on penalty kicks to the #1 seed to North Carolina. It was a good run to the final four though, despite conceding an equalizer in regular time at the 85th minute. Good season boys.

there are rumours of totti thinking of accepting Nesta's proposal to play for Miami United. which isn't even major League Soccer, it's NASL, some kind of American serie B if I understood it correctly. well, not quite as there aren't relegations or promotions in America (at least as far as I know).

NASL is not an official 2nd division to the MLS, it's a separate organization all together. However it is given division 2 status in the US soccer pyramid. There is another league called the USL which also is technically a 2nd division although it's kind of viewed as the 3rd. USL actually has some MLS ties which makes it a more stable league, most "new" MLS teams are just USL teams that have been chosen to join the league. Also the NASL is always going through some type of financial problem and always seems on the verge of folding.
