To win this game we first have to think of stopping Manchester United of playing their game. I'm sure that they'll start this game with 4-4-2 formation with Rooney and Berbatov up front. They'll put us under pressure and we'll try to score as early as possible just like the 1st leg.

Therefore, I think the key to get a positive result is to play with a 4-5-1 formation. Packing the midfield will help us in our counter-attacks.

I want to see Mou start with this formation:

------------------Julio Cesar------------------

Maicon----Cordoba----Chivu/Samuel----Santon

Zanetti----Vieira----Cambiasso----Muntari/Maxwell

-------------------Stankovic------------------

-------------------Ibrahimovic-----------------

With many men covering the midfield area I think that Maicon will be able to push more up front and we all know how important this is in our attacking plan.

We can have some key men on the bench like Balotelli, and Adriano who could be used in case we need to score late on.

In my opinion, we have 1% chance to going through and we must not let this small possibility go away easily.

Hope no more freaky experimentation by Mourinho. Adri and Ibra both need to play, with Vieira replacing Muntari. And then if we need a goal late around 60th minute Figo and Mancini can come in.

It would be a huge huge disaster if we let them score in the first 10-15mins. They will then play their usual anti-football, with a very organized defence, and the game might as well be over. (kind of what they did to Barca last season).

Great game by Julio Cesar. I remember me saying a few weeks ago 'put Toldo in goal' because JC wasn't really in form that time. I'm happy Mourinho didn't listen to me, hehe. 'On the pitch', Javier Zanetti was our best player imo.

We need to keep it tight for the first 30 minutes. The longer it stays 0-0 the more desperate manu will become which will open gaps for us to exploit. We have a 50-50 chance.

If samuel is fit it improves our chances a lot.

I'd give us 30% chance of going through, whether through away goals or penalties or if we somehow manage to conquer OT.

In the match between chester and milan at OT that finished 2-2, I remember Kaka with an individual effort scored the first goal for Milan before he add another one because of an Oops from Evra and Heinze. We have Ibra that can do this too. We just can't play like we did at the first half of last nite. The first 20,30 minutes is important, but not crucial. Midfield plays the hugest part in this match. Mourinho have to change some of his policies in playing and not playing some players in 2 weeks.

In a way the nil-nil scoreline will be good for us. We would have an intention of attacking and wouldn't start defending for lives with the first minute.

Our chances in this game depend on a lot of IF's.

IF we play the same as the first 30 minutes in the home game, then it's 1%.

IF we play our best as we did against Juve then it's 50-50.

There are many more variables, and many more if's, but we basically need to bring our best and wait for them to make a mistakes... or more mistakes than us.

The good thing is we only need one goal over 90 minutes, while they need two. Even if they score an early goal they still need to look for a second goal, or risk going out to a late equalizer ala Porto 2004.

we need a lucky goal through a corner or something, then anything can happen.

Italy hating Spanish referee in the first game.

I bet we'll get a Swedish or Norwegian Premier League wanker in the second.

The Norwegian ref has helped English teams countless times, the new Swedish star has started in the same way.

Let's hope that the second half showed signs of our team feeling less intimidated and Mourinho realising some of his mistakes, such as playing Rivas who's barely played all season, in such an important match.

It was because Manu let Inter play, they just rested. In the next leg, it will be chaos in our half right from the start. And they won't stop until they score. The tempo difference in England and Italy is so huge. Manu is used to play in higher tempo so they can push forward for almost the whole 90 minutes because the 2nd leg is the most important match for them at the moment (they can slip a bit in the EPL so they can put all their energy to this match).

We need a miracle performance from our defensive department (JC, defence, lower midfield) if we want to go through. And we have to score, we won't hold Manu scoreless in Old Trafford for 120 minutes. Those demands are very probably too hard to handle for us, unfortunately.

But it's interesting to see how Mourinho approaches this match. Since that 4-3-1-2 just didn't work at all, will he change it to more conservative 4-5-1? Zlatan as lonely striker is quite doomed, we've seen that, but one Vieira to that midfield we saw yesterday, would give us some extra cover, needed cover. All of our midfielders were running yesterday for the lifes when Manu attacked in the start. 4-5-1 isn't probably a stupid idea, since Mourinho knows, he has to know, what is against Inter in the 2nd leg. We have to cover all the space what there is in our half at the start and we seem can't to do that with 4 midfielders.
