This time we need really to contemplate and chose managers like De Zerbi or Sarri to rebuild our team and make progress untill we can afford managers like Nagelsmann, Pochettino, Luis Enrique, Hansi Flick (or even Kloop, Zidane, Ancelotti) and give them proper budget, resource, and time .
It shouldn't be like after 2 seasons we fire them because this fuckin loop should be stopped.

De Zerbi is in no way an affordable option with his 13m release clause.

Ownership is really the issue. I don't think it's going to matter too much who manages the club until that changes. Get a decent owner in here who can bankroll retention of key players and then something real can be built year to year.

someone posted we are 800m in debt..... haha no coach or ownership can fix that without selling players. Since a new owner can't just go here is X amount for the team. Now here is 800m to pay off all this debt ok.... cool here is 300m get us top players and a coach to win titles (which until tv revenue/deal is updated, a new stadium, us winning every trophy we play for) the math just doesn't add up.

Sell players, have a budget cap, be successful enough to get into champions league then sell best player for a decent profit. Rinse and repeat. Hopefully have a year like Napoli is having every once in a while. Then sell for big money your top players. We need more TV revenue(will never get that EPL money) and our own stadium to keep that revenue(tho that would add a ton of debt to build).

Wages really is the easiest thing to fix. I am not saying a crazy tiny salary cap but right now we are #2 in wages. bring it down significantly. Regardless how much we are willing to pay we aren't going to win a player over who has an offer from a big 4 EPL team, Barca, Real, Bayern, PSG regardless what the offer is.

Owners can and do clear debt when they buy teams. Manchester United has bidders that are offering to do that right now, and their debt is in the $650M range.

This is not to say I disagree with your point though. Fiscal prudence is key regardless of who is owner or how deep his pockets are, so I agree with you there. You don't want to be Chelsea and be the dumb money as an owner.

Also I don't necessarily expect an owner to come in and clear debt. There are some who might be willing to do that, who have that type of capital, and mainly in the middle east, but what I'd like to see is someone who brings in better resources and stability. It just feels like this club is winging it. I want the type of owner who will enable a 20 year run of excellence and will elevate the nerazzuri to the heights we should be at as a premier club.

I'm sure that's crazy talk to some. But going forward I think there are too many teams that have better ownership situations in Serie A and at some point that will spill into the results on the pitch in a way that does not favor us.

we'll play EL or Conference League next season. Motta would be ideal for that scenario. Rebuliding and fresh new project with less expectation.

Sarri is not an answer for us.

Just look how he's melting down already. Losing without a fight against the Milanese clubs in Meazza. Like what the fuck is that BS?

De Zerbi doesn't guarantee as Scudetto any more than Inzaghi. With De Zerbi we would probably need to rebuild as you said and I find it hard to believe we're rebuilding anything with Zhangs at the top.
