My rationale is Lukaku won't make us stop conceding goals if that's what's gonna happen in the first half. But if it's a tight game (tie or we're losing my small margin after the first half), bringing in Lukaku is a lot better situation than bringing in Dzeko.

But, one factor is Lautaro-Lukaku can play 90 mins so it's not absolutely necessary to sub a striker. Interesting, interesting!

Agreed. Lukaku is a lift for the team coming in from the bench. But he's great at starting. However, his defensive work rate is shit whereas dzeko does a lot of good defensive work.

I'd say inzaghi wants to defend like hell, try keep it 0-0 then bring lukaku on at 60 minutes when city get a bit tired and more nervous.

Another reason is that if Lukaku starts over Dzeko and we have to sub our forwards and the game goes to extra time we are stuck with 37 years old Dzeko till the end of the match and the more the game goes on the more he might struggle physically and impact our whole team.

hi everyone. hope i'm welcome here. i'm a City fan but i just wanted to say, as much as i'm desperate to win in Istanbul, i want to wish you all good luck for Saturday. i always like to keep an eye on ex-City players and so i've been watching Inter's progress ever since Edin Dzeko joined you. we loved him at City and it's been great to see him carry on scoring important goals at such a high level.

trust me when i say we're all just as nervous as you guys because we don't know how Inter are going to set up and, purely because it's football, anything can happen. in a way, City and Inter have had a connection for a long time - Mancini made us great after doing the same for you, now Dzeko is making you guys great after he was an important part of our rise to the top. i hope he plays a part in the final.
