La Repubblica claims Barcelona and Man Utd are ready to offer 30m€ for Brozovic.

That's typical mercato talk when nothing has really happened. But would be interesting to see what would happen if we received offer for Brozovic.
Yeah right. No one is paying that kind of money for Brozovic.

Apparently, Inzaghi sees him as an essential player.

But I am guessing that could change if a team were to put in an undervalued bid. Afterall, Inter's management would jump on a piece of shit holding a $5 note.

I would say do it. He is the most frustrating player we have, because we all know he is good, but he can have total shit matches where he goes into a downward spiral

He's been our best midfielder for the past 4 years.

There's no way we can find a midfielder of similar importance for €30m. He's a guaranteed beast whose brain goes missing ever 10th match, but he's indispensable the other 9.

But sooner of later we have to get rid of him, what we did last season is the most we'll get from him.

I'm not believing that rumour. Regardless 30m for Brozovic is pathetic. I wouldn't even negotiate a better deal if that's their first offer.

Don't forget his entrepreneurial sense. Epic Brozo Caffe Bar, Brozo-crypto, T-shirts, player management. He has a stronger investment portfolio than Suning at this point.

Based on what?

The team is already surrounded by uncertainty, selling one of our best players for an amount we can in no way get a guarenteed replacement for would be exceptionally stupid.

and he shall stay unsung, nobody saying he is not a good player

but he is not a LGI type player, more like Muntari

he is the emblem of what Inter has became, talented but ultimately full of stress and stupidity

I suspect that you're trolling comparing Brozovic to Muntari, so I will leave it here.

I actually see where Wera is coming from. However the Muntari comparison couldn’t be farther from the truth.

Brozo has become like a crutch for the team because he runs so much and he’s really the only player that can play that role in front of defense successfully for a full season. However, there is still a level of player above Brozovic in that position. Brozo is jack of all trades type Spalletti molded into that role. He is neither a great defensive midfielder nor is he a great deep lying playmaker. He is however half decent at doing both. The issue is in high pressure and high intensity matches he often struggles and if he struggles we as a team have no answers.

I think a player that’s a specialist (preferably defensively) could make us better in CL particularly. The teams with great DMs typically go the farthest (Fabinho, Casemiro, Kante). There’s always an exception to the rule, Bayern won with Kimmich who is a bit more of a two way player but the chances they gave up at times were ridiculous. Luckily they could also drop 5 on a team at any given time.

Muntari comparison was almost fine. You guys can't be this naive not to read the context here. Context is different in Muntari and in Brozovic. Of course Brozovic is more important to his Inter than what Muntari was for that Inter back then. But Muntari was still useful.

Anyway, I've said this many times in this thread that I also do not consider Brozovic world class. And thatdude basically brought it all up. Issue for me is we haven't been able to sell this guy and Locatelli is going to Juve. He can play as defensive midfielder, he can play as mezzala. He has a wide passing range. Would have been PERFECT for Brozo's spot in this team to be honest.

I don't know who would be the guy we could buy to replace Brozovic at this moment. If we buy a destroyer, pure DM, we don't have passing we need down low. It feels it could be a problem (Barella can't play as regista).

obviously there are better players out there with more specific characteristics.

My point is that right now Brozovic is a pivotal player at Inter, arguably more so than Barella, and selling him would involve huge risks, especially with no obvious replacement in sight.

You mention Locatelli, but he might be another Politano and Sensi with us. Brozovic is guaranteed quality. He has a huge engine, great tenacity and impeccable passing - most of the time. And that caviat is the only reason he is not at a bigger club right now.

I'm fairly certain Locatelli won't be new Politano. Sensi had no problems at Inter but injuries, nothing to do with his quality as a player or head (switching from Sassuolo to Inter). Locatelli will move to a big club (Juve or abroad). He's 23 now. Barella moved to Inter at 22. It's not like he's spent ages at Sassuolo.

Anyway, I agree it would be a risk to sell him now as there's no proper replacement insight. I expect there to be one if we end up selling Brozovic.

I was advocating some time ago to sell Brozo and buy Locatelli ....when we had money. Now we're broken and the best thing to do is to give Brozo a new contract because otherwise we can't find a proper replacement with no money.
