No it’s to rotate the squad. He will leave for free in the summer or sign a new contract. In that time we can replace him or try to.

Obviously giving him what he wants is cheaper than buying a new player.

At this point his agent is playing hard ball and we will pay big for letting his contact run down. All the rumors to other teams seems like blowing smoke.

Why leave us and potentially eat bench someplace else.

He will take 6m + bonuses. And that's fair price, 7m is simply too much. Brozovic camp is just squeezing everything there is to be taken from Marotta. And Marotta is squeezing everything there is to be taken from Brozovic. Brozovic doesn't want to leave so there is just this dance left now for both sides.

I know right, and to think he was essentially already on the plane to Seville or Monaco a few years ago, very thankful he stayed. I love our crocodile.

Also, I don't think 7 mil is unreasonable, it's definitely too much, but if you consider how much Inter has over payed players in recent years it's not that bad at all by comparison, so it could get done.
Consider that Sanchez is on 7 Mil a year and barely plays, and when he does he's ineffective most of the time, I'd say get rid of him and January and show our Brozo some recognition.

I'm legit not against the idea of giving him a month to see what offers area out there. If someone offers him 7m net, so be it, but we might be able to get him at 5.5m net ifi no offers are forthcoming tbh.
