I would never get rid of Brozovic unless he wants to go personally. Dude is a machine. I mean christ how many minutes has he played in the last 2 years? I bet it rivals anyone in world football.
He's a very skilled midfielder, will probably never be a top5 or even top10 midfielder, but who cares-- he's useful.

We would never find a player with his calibre for less than 30m.

I agree. He puts up IMMENSE amount of work every match. The question comes how much is his next salary demand?

I don't think he would ask for huge wages and Marotta will most likely tie the bonuses to goals scored or assists made.

This season, yes, he's played a ton of full consecutive games, but he hasn't played that much in past seasons lol.

Maybe it's because he runs so much that it seems like he plays non stop or something.

He "only" featured in 32 out of 38 league games last season, missing 3 games through suspension and 3 games with injury. The season before that, 31/38. 3 games on the bench, 3 out injured, suspended for 1.

Eriksen played 35, 37, 36, 35 and 38 games from from 2014/15 to 18/19.

The difference between Barella and him in the same role was substantial. Goes to show how important is the role difference of players, even when playing in the same position.

Definitely true but there were other factors too.

Our 3412 was dysfunctional but we reverted to a flat 352 when Brozovic and Sanchez came on. The players are much more familiar with the system and with each other (as opposed to Eriksen). Sanchez playing as a forward was a big factor. Him dropping deeper, making plays etc helped the whole attack, not to mention Udinese having spent a lot of energy and sitting deeper too.

True. Sometimes, it even felt like 3322 because both Eriksen and Vecino were playing too advanced, while Barella & the defenders were isolated from the rest of the team.

That Volley was pure class, ignited our come back. We've missed his presence especially in our own half when defending.

Played like a true Captain. Other than playing well, he was involved in every conversations with the refs. Noticed in the first half he was frustrated and started shouting to other players.

In 5 years time people will find this thread and look at the first comments so I'm gonna go out on a limb here and do this:

Hey future me, if you're lurking around on an internet forum get your ass back to work and was Brozovic any good?

Been 5 years,

is good.

He is the heart and lungs for our team. And I mean it literally. He covers every inch of midfield tirelessly and still has finesse to flow our ball circulation. Still can't believe he was the petulant child that I wish to get rid off.
