the problem is Sanchez benefitis from growth decree - his gross is comparable to Brozovic now. On 7m/seson, Brozovic will cost Inter 3.5m a year more than Sanchez

Andd there's no other countries out there AFAIK that would givie a similar growth decree.
Forgive my ignorance, but doesn't the Decreto Crescita apply to any worker that becomes an Italian tax resident and commits to be for the next two years, so wouldn't Brozo already be benefitting from that? and why would it apply to Sanchez and not Brozo? I'm not too well versed in this sort of stuff lol.

I'm legit not against the idea of giving him a month to see what offers area out there. If someone offers him 7m net, so be it, but we might be able to get him at 5.5m net ifi no offers are forthcoming tbh.
Pretty sure he has the offers on the table already if he wants those.

I've seen no rumors of interest of other clubs. Which to me indicates only one thing, his father isn't taking any offers from other clubs. So it's not like we are fighting here against other offers.

And @.h. made a good point, I don't also thing there is actually a market for 7m€ Brozovic. 6m€ yes, maybe. 7m€ not.

the growth decree applies to people who were non-resident in italy for the two prior tax years (which in italy is calendar year). Brozovic has been at Inter for a number of years before the growth decree came into force, unfortunately, so he wouldn't be eligible.

It doesnt retrospectively apply, if that makes sense. Sanchez was non-Italian resident and moved to Inter only after the decree came into force

Exactly. Sanchez, Lukaku, Conte, Sanchez, Hakimi, Eriksen were available for Inter with their salaries because of the Growth Decree. Without that, we wouldn't have been able to sign any of them.

These barellas, lautaros and brozovics are specially very expensive for the club since they don't have that tax benefit => they cost a lot to the club with their new salaries.

This is why I think we will let De Vrij go next summer and renew Skriniar who will also be expensive with his pay raise.

tbh, OR other clubs are having casual conversations and finding the request outrageously high. On the current exchange rate, his ask is about £227k a week - just behind Martial, Partey, Aubameyang, Pogba, Kante, etc. Whilst dont get me wrong, he's a better player than many of those, many of those were brought in under big fanfare, high transfer fees, and are younger. If you're a premiership club, you might not leap at the idea of paying Brozovic as much as Martial (as an example).

Yeah, I don't see Brozovic commanding that kind of salary in EPL (£200k+ per week).

For me, and I know I'm a bit harsh on him in many ways, I think 5m net at Inter is a pretty fair deal, esp if he gets a 4 year contract out of it.
I'm sure if he had showed this form in the Premiership, it'd be a different story, but a club like Chelsea isnt going to roll the dice on him now at that salary - if he had a stepping stone at Leicester (for example) in the way that Kante did, he could probably commandd 7m or more

Exactly. Big EPL clubs aren't going to throw 7m net to a 29 year old player who has never played in EPL. Might get that at PSG though but I seriously doubt he wants to go there. My bet is still he doesn't want to go anywhere, wants to stay at Inter to be the absolute protagonist he's developed himself to be.

GDS - In the last phone call between the father of #Brozovic and Inter, a new meeting was set and the player's willingness to renew the contract between 6 and 7 million net a year was confirmed

Brozovic: "I want 7"
Inter: "We offer you 5"
Brozovic: "I am willing to compromise somewhere between 6+bonuses and 7"
Inter: "....."

let the 31st tick round and he can see what other clubs are offering, he'll be gagging for 5m net from Inter after
