LOL WTF give the man a break he s done a great job in the last two mercatos and still some fans insult him? I mean he s pulled of a lot of great/good deals and all at a reasonable price. The only fuck up might be silvestre but we needed a cb and seeing that it s only a loan it s not such a bad move.

Ok totally forgot about palombo but getting juan at 4 mio and loaning guaro with an option to buy at 11 mio was pretty damn good.
Also i think that motta really pushed for that psg move so we basically had to sell him. So i d still say it was a good mercato seeing as we got what seems to be a future world class cb for 4 mio and we did not loos much money on palombo. Of course one might argue that with motta we might have reached that cl spot which would make the palombo/motta transfer very costly but i highly doubt that.

All i m saying is give the man a break he simply gets shat on since that 2010 summer mercato no matter what he does.

I wouldnt say Guarin has necessarily been worth it so far. Last couple of games he's showing signs of it, but before that everyone was on his back. Not clear cut yet.

Not saying we could have kept Motta, but the replacement of Motta with Palombo was a disaster. No coincidence that we lost those 6 games as soon as we lost Motta.
