Welcome to Inter Marko.... and the best of luck
Oh really? Funny, how this dude was a mistery to all of us, even for me. I don't remember one member who said that he is sure Maicon will be great etc. I can be wrong, but my memory tells me people said things like "He will be good as Javier's sub" etc.
If you don't believe me you can go and check for yourself.
Hell, I'll even give you first three of the thread:
LOLOL!! True true.. I do have a sister, but she's in a long relationship..
I expected that answer!Doesn't matter, really.

You're attacking the wrong dude. I'm on your side man.Did anyone welcome Javier Zanetti's signing with open arms all those years ago? I would say he was pretty much unproven back then and I think even Moratti has admitted they took a chance on him. It's always well worth the while taking a chance on someone who seems to have the potential of Arnautovic especially in a deal like this. Yes, he will probably take time to make his mark and I wouldn't imagine him taking over from Eto'o and Milito anytime soon but who knows. With Balotelli and Arnautovic at least we do have future potential.

Can you share with us what did he prove, exactly ?I said Maicon had proven much more than Arna which is true. Just look at Maicon's history before he joined Inter, and compare it to that of Arna's.

I agree he did more. I have the problem with this "much" part though.

And who says he will be like Zanetti? He could easily end up like Recoba.
You miss my point. I'm not saying how he will end up, I was saying no-one thought Il Capitano would be a legend when we signed him. It could go either way for Arnautovic but with this deal we either gain or we don't lose.
To not waste time(I still don't agree with you, but I have life to attend to) fuck the Maicon example.Maicon proved himself for more than one and a bit seasons.
Maicon proved himself in more than 1 league.
Maicon proved himself in European competition.
Maicon had caps for Brazil since 2003, at a time when the RB spot was very competitive (fair enough, Arna has caps, but not too hard to get caps for Austria).
Stop putting words into my mouth. I never said that anyone said Maicon will be great. You're simply twisting what i said.

Maicon's situation is not comparable to Arna's. Posting all those quotes served no purpose.
haha, of course Maicon proved more at the time we bought him...HE WAS 5 YEARS OLDER!!!
Would you rather wait until Marko is 25 and pay triple what we did if he ends up to be a great player?
Now there's a great idea. Invest in players we need. A young mid and CB. No disrespect to Arna... he is now an Inter player and i wish him well, but there are other priorities at hand. But if it was up to me, I'd invest in a 20yo mid for the same money. We can afford to miss out on a striker star

Switch Maicon with Cambiasso, who was just like Maicon not expected to be what he is now.
Unless you think Cambiasso did a lot more from a bench(and a very rare one) than Arna too ?
