FcIN - At the moment Crotone, Cagliari, Udinese, Benevento and Monza have come forward. There is plenty of choice for him.

Gds still saying that Satriano will stay at least until January. Lets hope he gets some play time in easier games or when we are winning by 2 or 3 in the second half.

I don’t think his lack of senior experience, despite being twenty years old is an issue. The guy either has it or he doesn’t.

So many of our “talented” forwards got senior experience but turned out to be mediocre Serie A players at best (Destro) or more often than not, utter trash (Longo).

The issue wasn’t that we failed to develop them, the issue was that they simply didn’t have what it takes. The only forward who was good enough to be an elite striker (Balotelli) managed to break through with little difficulty.

If Satriano is able to step up, then I’m sure he’ll demonstrate that, whether we loan him out or not.

Time will tell if the club has made the right call. I'm not saying he will follow the footsteps of Sebastian Rambert but unless he's a generational talent, I think it would have been better for him to go elsewhere.

In my view there is no replacement for regular playing time as a young budding talent. What you learn and experience playing regular games cannot be replicated in training. Quite often there can be nothing more stunting to a young player than simply not playing and not being trusted with a starting role.

An anecdotal example: practically everybody in the Italy national team was playing regular football since the age of 19 even if they weren't considered the top of their age group. So at 19, Insigne, Jorginho, or Belotti were playing regular football in Lega Pro while Longo and Bessa were being sought out by La Liga and Ligue 1 teams.

Also, I don't think it's fair to say that Destro was "talented" in quotations when he was rated very highly earlier in his career. It's easy to say in hindsight but he did some impressive things for his age. I remember his second half of the season with Roma returning from injury in 13/14 where he was outscoring all the other strikers in the league.

Agreed bandiera. I know the romantic view of talent and people either having it or not, but that's not football anymore. Talent isn't enough. You have to be talented, work hard, and get the right experiences.

The single biggest factor for any player and their career direction, I bet, is the number of minutes they played before 21. Its not a perfect indication but i bet its like 70%.

Just to add to this I see it kind of like chess. Was watching an interview a few months ago with a chess grandmaster. He was saying its impossible for there to be some kind of 2500 ELO chess rated player out there who is an unknown. They simply wouldn't have gained the experience playing against great players.

Similar to football. You might have the talent but you won't have the experience.

they're saying that he will stay for sure until january, so they will probably see if they can find replacement and then send him on loan

Destro has had a pretty fucking nice career so downplaying him to some "mediocre Serie A" is just dumb. Even that level is a good accomplishment and a compliment to Inter academy is to be given.

I mean experience Is important but more importantly it's where a full season in serie b won't likely do much to help you play in serie a. But training with the first team and breaking your way into a squad player role would be much better for him question is, is he good enough.

Serie B is quite a common breaking ground for Serie A players. I dont havae the data to back it up, but IMHO, a full season of Serie B is better than a rotation seasaon of Serie A.

Hope he gets a decent amount of minutes to prove himself and doesn’t get the Pinamonti and Esposito treatment.
Some papers are writing that Satriano might get a chance against Sampdoria, given that the argentine contingent is traveling and we have Real Madrid match coming up on Wednesday.

Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi has been impressed with the work ethic and desire to learn and improve shown by young striker Martin Satriano while working with the Uruguayan in training.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 20-year-old has put himself in the thinking of the Nerazzurri boss through his intense training with the rest of the squad. Satriano followed up an impressive campaign with the Primavera team last season with a highly eye-catching preseason under Inzaghi, in which he displayed enough qualities that he has become a part of the first-team setup this season. The young Uruguayan continues to impress Inzaghi, with the former Lazio boss liking to see his hunger to learn from more experienced squad members during training.

Martian Satriano came close to joining Ligue 1 side Brest on loan, but head coach Simone Inzaghi wanted to keep him in the first team squad instead.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the young Uruguayan was a target for the French club and that an agreement was close with the club and his entourage but that Inzaghi stopped the move.

Don't see anyone getting upset if he starts all things considered, internationals/real madrid after.

Just hope not to much pressure is put on him, fans are normally good with these types of players so hopefully all well.
