Regardless if people like Kovacic or not, it's really fun to read how people say "Thohirs plan worked" or stuff like that.. Let's face it people, we have no fucking plan. We make things up as we go along, and anyone who thinks Kovacic sale was planned is a fool.

He as included in all pre-season games, unlike for example Shaqiri which we all knew was leaving. The agent who brokered the Kovacic sale even said the deal starts yesterday..

Thohir has no plan, and when he once again is 8th or some shit like that, he will see the REAL loss.. Fans will leave, sales will drop like crazy.. No revenue from CL & EL.. Sponsors will re-negotiate for less money... We are going down a dangerus path. We sucked even with Kovacic in our team..

Unless he spends like crazy now to make us better we are fucked, and next year will sell k-dog for 20 (losing 20m in 1 season) and Icardi just to "follow FFP rules" all though we have no fucking chance to play in CL or EL.

Were there any offers for Guarin, Hernanes and Ranocchia? God, this isn't football manager.

Gaurin - rejected 12m offer from Fener and 10m from Arab team
Dambrosio rejected 13m offer from West Ham, Roma are ready to spend 8m for him...
Ranocchia - all Seria A teams will pay 8m for him (Roma, Napoli)
Hernanes - all Seria A teams will pay 7m or 10m for him (Juventus, Galatasaray etc)

Iam sure that Mancini want them and that is the reason... now when we sell Kovacic, media says Dambrosio will stay...

I don't think Mancini really wants to keep all of them. For e.g., Inter accepted the Guarin offer, it was Guarin who rejected it. Ditto D'ambrosio, he is still on the transfer list and will most likely be sold.

Had Mancini treated Guarin, D'Ambrosio, Naga, Rano, JJ etc like he did Shaq, I'm sure they woulda fucked off eventually.

Yet Guarin still featured in friendlies and was never threatened to be cut out of the "25 man squad" by Mancini like Shaqiri was…

I really do find all this "you're not a true fan if..." stuff a little sad. Football at its essence is supposed to be entertainment and enjoyable. I know personally that I struggle to get much entertainment out of games. I find myself more occupied by the game thread than by our actual match most of the time. If I was really being honest I would say that being a fan of this club doesn't bring me any joy whatsoever right now, with the exception of enjoying this forum, and even that is taken a hit with that I find some new members to be borderline terrible. So the idea that others are getting to the end of their patience is completely understandable to me. I certainly can't blame someone for wanting to walk away from something that ceases to bring them joy.

Would you people insult a person who walks away from a significant other if they no longer enjoyed being with that person? So, I don't see how this is much different.

Amen. That's what I was saying on the Shaqiri thread and people were getting on my ass cause 'true fans never quit'.

Suarez: ‘Kovacic sale a mistake’

Inter legend Luis Suarez believes selling Mateo Kovacic is similar to letting Andrea Pirlo leave the club.

The Nerazzurri have agreed to sell the Croatian playmaker to Real Madrid in a deal worth around €35m.

The Beneamata sold Pirlo to city rivals Milan in 2001, with Drazen Brncic moving the other way. The former went on to win six Scudetti and two Champions League titles with Milan and Juventus.

“Mateo had to become the focal point of Inter’s future,” Suarez, who played over 250 games for Inter told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“When you saw him play, you could tell he was on another level compared to the others.

“The comparison with Pirlo is appropriate. Andrea left because the club did not have the patience to wait for him to mature, and then he became the player everyone knew he would.

“Kovacic has the quality to become the new Pirlo. And don’t tell me he struggles in the defensive phase because at the same age Pirlo defended badly, but then improved in that aspect of his game.

“The lad needed teammates at a higher level that could help him grow, but instead he found himself as a leader at 20-years-old, and [he had to] assume responsibilities that were too big so that his flaws have been magnified and his productivity disappeared.”

Just a question, do you guys remember last year, that Modric was saying Inter is good team, but Kovacic should leave them for RM? Then it was ruled out and we didnt want to sell.

We did that 1 year later.

There is the difference when modric invites you and when official offer is sent.

If there was certain offer last year, we would sell.

Everyone has that ex who they once thought they could die for, but they eventually broke up. Wasnt their loves true?

And I can tell you Inter have treated me worse than any of my ex. Why cant I break up with Inter? Especially when there are super hot girls like RM, Barca, Bayern, Chelsea... available.

Cuz there's a difference between changing girlfriend and suddenly deciding you're gay... Supporting a team is about something that resonates to you close to your heart for whatever reason. In the case of a football club that's typically proximity or representation - they are your hometown club or somehow they represent many of the things you represent. To ditch that to pick a more successful club is a betrayal of the whole point of being a football fan. You're welcome to do it but I ain't got time or respect for someone who does that.

A football club isn't the same as a girlfriend, its more like a family. Once in you don't get out

Exactly, we dont know shit. As for me I tought we where going to sacrifice Icardi even when he signed new contract. And it was clear that we have to sell big after all this new players arrived

Pajo please don't try to sweeten the deal... Nobody reported 40m!

Tuttomercatoweb have reported the details of the move, which will have a potential total cost of €35.5m.

The website believes this is divided into a €28m transfer fee and €7.5m of variables.

These include €2.5m once Kovacic reaches 20 appearances next season and another €5m once the 21-year-old turns out for Madrid 40 times.
Economical POV: I agree it's good business to sell him for that amount, but I would have kept him 1 more year, played him alongside Kondogbia and while helping us his value would have also further increased.
Sporting POV: INTER management have officially gone ALL IN with Mancini. There is no turning back, it's make or break, but there are no guarantees. :(

Money can`t buy happiness... and we don't have enough money to win Scudetto either. Sacrificing BOTH Shaqiri and Kovačić really makes most of us sad and it was quite unexpected to sell the 2 most "wonderkid" potential assets of this club during this summer. Now let's see how the club will try to "make up" the relationship with the fans after all this crap. :challenge:

They probably will put Guarin and Hernanes in a 480p youtube video saying Forza Inter or something

I partly agree with you. Different fans have different ways to show support/love. Sometimes passionately attacking/hating a club can also be a sign of that love. Most fans are saying things in anger/disappointment, but they will remain Inter fans.

I can only talk for myself. I have been an Inter fan for almost 3 decades now. I have seen times as bad as the last few years, I have seen bigger stars than Kova/Shaqiri being sold off... I am disappointed when some players leave, but Inter will still be Inter. For me, even if Inter play shite and get relegated for Serie B, I will stay as a fan. Maybe watch less games. But I am stuck with this club, irrespective of whether we play good or shite football. Inter is not like your girlfriend/wife, that analogy is flawed - Inter is more like your son/brother. However bad the things get, there is always hope... there is always the dream... and most importantly, there are too many great memories.

For the "fans" who say that they don't support Inter anymore because we sold off a player or two, I am sorry but I will judge you a little bit. You are not really Inter fans. Players come and go, I like Kovacic BECAUSE he was an Inter player, not the other way round. But that is just my opinion. In my experience, things like defeats and hard times usually brings fans together - our love for Inter should grow, not diminish with every defeat. That I how I feel.

Firstly, I never mentioned changing allegiance to another side. I was more referring to no longer having a passion for the club. You can't force something. Sometimes things happen which start to erode your passion/affection. Even with family there are often things you can't look pass and you decide to cut them out of your life.
