God, I wish he would have decided to play for the Austrian football team. His family came here to flee from the war - that would be the least thing he could have done for us. With him and Alaba we would have had already two players in our team that could play football.

The way players choose national teams is weird, with players changing from time to time.. That England game was crap btw, way too many red cards. I don't know how referees change their protocol for youth games but it was in no way a "friendly".

Good to hear kovacic is bossing at all the international level, means he is probably going to be a great attribute when(if we can pull off the spot in league) we play in the champions league.

Played deep but i did see some good moves from him, his ability by passing 25m + is good very good, and the way he moves out from 2 players that do cover his area.

From this match i believe its the right position for him, as i believe he does have more " better defending ability then Modric.

Strama, nor Ausilio or Branca or any member of the staff are not dumb; had this been the best way to make him develop they'd play him every god damn game, but for a 18 y old kid I don't think it's that simple. I (and neither do you) wouldn't be able to tell you how to make him develop, qualified guys like Strama or Baresi surely do.

Don't get me wrong, I want to see this guy play, I love this player, but I trust the management know what to do to make him develop into a better player.

Because Branca, Ausilio, Samaden, and Stramaccioni have such a proven track record of developing young players? Name ONE player they have nursed AT ANY CLUB to be a top player? Strama certainly has never nursed anyone into it. Ausilio and Samaden, the closest you will be able to claim for them is Bonucci/Santon/Destro/Balotelli (who may predate Samaden/Ausilio a little even?)? Except Balotelli - who was signed at 16 and playing for us within 1 season iirc - they all have gone to establish themselves elsewhere, not Inter.

Kovacic has been playing regularly since he was 16. At Champions League level, at top flight professional football level. Why break something that is working? Clearly it is at least apparently working - or do you think he'd be even better if he hadnt played those 50+ professional games he has under his belt already?



I dont trust this management to run this club. Financially, first teams wise, or anything. I CERTAINLY dont trust them to develop young players.

Guys, I know they're not two exact identical players but which one of Kovacic and Veratti do you think holds the most potential into becoming a WC player? Which one of them is the "better one"?
I know this'll sound biased but I see Kovacic as superior to Veratti, mostly because he can play in different roles, both as offensive and defensive. BUT I admit that I haven't seen that much of Veratti beside a few PSG games, so barely any Italy games which could mean I'm totally wrong here.

I feel so excited to be able to follow his career here with us, hope he reaches his goals at inter.
