Sometimes, no one seem to come to meet him for a pass. You could see a scene where he basically waited for someone to come close but ended up passing back to the defenders. Gargano and him need to work things out, I can't stand seeing Gargano shoot away all these balls with Kovacic next to him.

Btw, what do you guys think of selling Cou for Kovacic? Was it worth it?

After seeing Kovacic when he has played, absolutely. he very Different from Cou, more suited to our needs (seems to be a player who will boss the midfield) and despite being quite a bit younger also seems more developed

i liked Cou a lot and like most despaired a bit when he was sold, but have a lot more faith in Kovacic now

I don't want him to play as an AM full-time, total waste of his work ethic in most cases as well as a waste of his possession-keeping ability. I also don't want him to be a DLP because that constricts him.
I want him to play the Schweini role, buzz around all over the place and push the team forward. Win the ball back, pressure, do the dirty work, then once he gets it, play a few 1-2s and drive forward. Then thread a through ball, chance created.

Theres no right or wrong really, its just who we needed more. Even if Coutinho performs at Liverpool, he might not have had the same growth here, especially considering his development stalled completely here.

We should just be happy if Kovacic performs reasonably ok here, even if Coutinho goes on to become the best player ever, we were not wrong to get a player we really needed in our midfield.

Big reason for Coutinho's stall (apart from injuries) was the 352, which was conveniently dropped the moment he was sold.

Dominated the game, kept winning us the ball, finding Cassano in good positions, and playing a few passes himself. Our gameplay was entirely built around him.

He played pretty deep, he was level with Gargano a lot of the time, but of course he pushed up a lot.

But I really hope this doesn't happen and we hang on to him for another decade yet. Him and Benassi are the same age, yet Kova was just so far ahead in terms of quality. This kid is gonna be amazing.
