Going to get Kovacic on the 13/14 shirt when they come out. Gonna be something rude of Inter when he's sold in January to make funds for Francesco Lodi though...

As long as Michael doesn't buy himself a Kovacic jersey, our startlet's chances of being sold will be drastically lowered.

Niko Kranjcar said Kovacic is a professor of football

Inter teen Mateo Kovacic has been called “a professor of football” after his senior debut saw Croatia beat Serbia 2-0.

The 18-year-old midfielder played the full 90 minutes in Friday’s World Cup qualifier, just two months after Inter paid €15m to take him from Dynamo Zagreb.

Croatia star Niko Kranjcar nicknamed him “a professor of football” after the remarkably self-assured debut.

“My teammates at Inter helped me a great deal over the last few weeks and they are truly fantastic,” Kovacic told Croatian media.

“Dejan Stankovic has been there for 10 years and is a real symbol, while Samir Handanovic speaks practically the same language as me and gives a lot of advice.

“After the game, the Inter director Marco Branca called me up to give his compliments on the performance. It was very nice.

“It’s not easy to play from the start in a game like this, but I cancelled out the pressure thanks to the help from my more experienced teammates.”

He's wrong, it's a crime to play Kovacic in this position, our FIF experts say he should only be played as an AM.

Kovacic is just putting in some lucky tackles, when his luck runs out, he'll get tore apart, sliced apart with ease.

This Croatian coach is just following the idiosyncrasy of Stramaccioni.

As I said in the previous page, he started in more advanced role, but once moved deeper, he wasmuch better.

That may be his ideal role after all.

Bale might not even play. He is injured and Coleman maynot risk him.

.

This has already been made quite evident when we conceded the penalty (3rd goal) against Siena... It was his amatureish missed tackle in the middle of the ground that opened us up and lead to Siena's 3rd goal (most likely would have scored if the penalty wasn't awarded).

Allthough its his fault, i can forgive an 18yo debutant.

Iirc, Pirlo played as AM at the beginning of his career too, then Ancelotti changed him into a world class regista.

Edited: found that on wikipedia:

At Brescia, Mazzone moved Andrea Pirlo, originally a trequartista, into the regista role behind the midfield, whilst Roberto Baggio played the trequartista role.[SUP][13][/SUP] For Milan, Ancelotti made a similar move, also employing Pirlo as a regista, allowing Rui Costa and later Kaká to play as a trequartista, whilst Clarence Seedorf and Gennaro Gattuso protected them defensively.
