I said it in the past Brozo could break any minute and when he does he might take weeks to recover, we need at least two good replacements for him.

Check that quick-thinking, neat flick-on to Candreva in the build to the first goal, because without it there wouldn't have been one.

He's a decent squad player. We're not guaranteed to replace him with another.

We should be really looking to get rid of Gagliardini instead.

He is decent in nothing. He is consistently crap and the way people make excuses up for him is incredible to me.
He can litterally spend the whole game doing f*ck-all and people will still stay "olol he scored a header two years ago".

How many times did I see Barella with the ball pushing forward, while Vecino is on the absolute opposite of the field ghosting the midifield.

Missed passes, lost possessions, lack of Grinta, this guy, oh this guy he makes me sick.

I think that kind of midfielder position is wrong for him. He doesn't seem to be able to destroy the rival game winning balls for us, and in the other hand, lacks the vision to pass the ball up front.

Same old Vecino in the first 45
But an alien clone definitely turned up for the 2nd half.

Needs to be more consistent.

Can we all agree that he was utterly frustrating to watch tonight?!!

A lot of chances fell to him, only for him to blueball us time after time!

I’d rather just play with 10 men than endure watching him again.

he appeared a lot on camera and he is actually smart with his movement. He pops up in dangerous areas. Its just frustrating that he could not produce anything more meaningful afterwards.

Eriksen should be playing in his position.

He's has a real knack for getting in the right position and then proceeding to completely blow the opportunity.

Yep. Had a nice ball played to him in a good position and he completely airswung at it. Less than a minute later, another similar chance came up, and that time he hit it with his thigh :einstein:

Nearly scored a great volley though. Overall, still a good game I think.

Yeah, I've always said this. Vecino has some Cambiasso-level instincts in his runs to the box. Had he had even decent skill-level to capitalize those chances, he would be 50-60m€ player.

Call me crazy, but I believe he would currently make more sense playing along lukaku than in the midfield.

More than Esposito anyway.

The only reason I disagree with you is that Vecino is incapable of controlling the ball, whereas Esposito has shown he is capable of doing so.

Definitely would not start Esposito in the derby though.

Man of the match for me against Milan. Everyone was trash in the first half, but Vecino was everywhere in the second: scored one, heavily involved in at least two other goals, found lots of space up front and had some important interceptions.

Terrible first half, decent second half but nowhere even close to being MOTM for me. We might have won, but a few good plays don't excuse his overall performance which wasnt great. He did work hard though for the entire game so I give him credit for that.

I'd give it to De Vrij or Brozovic and Barella for MOTM.

He was dreadful in the first half and world class in the second half. Absurd turnaround.

I wanted to write about the Vecino/Gagliardini issue. I always want to keep these two. They are not world class, true, but what other bench options could we get?

Everytime we missed these two and played with Valero we looked dreadful. With these two at least we look somewhat competent. They provide a much needed depth.
