I agree with that until I see Vecino play for an extended period of time. Then I think Gags is better until I see him play for an extended period of time.

This was how I described the situation on one dreary Friday night in Sardinia.

When Vecino plays and performs like shit, we bitch and moan for Gags. Then we get Gags, he performs like shit, and we bitch and moan for Vecino.

It's like a duck season/rabbit season game except, regardless of which side we're on, we're Daffy Duck, and it ends with us getting our bills spun around from a shotgun blast.

We all agree that they are both shit. But when it comes down to saving our skin, Vecino made us enter 2 CL. While Gagliardini missed to score a goal 1 meter away from the goal season 19/20. And this is enough for me to ship Gagliardini away and keep Vecino but the falcao law is strong in us after Conte joined.

Saying that Vecino made us enter two CL is funny when you consider that if we had an actual midfielder instead of Vecino during the season we probably wouldn't have needed to wait the last minute of the last game to qualify.
This is why some mega donkeys play 5-6 years for Inter while we get 1 season of the likes of Cancelo or Hakimi lol. We sell good players because we need money while at the same time we keep giving new contracts to people that shouldn't even have been bought in the first place.

Maybe, still less stupid than saying this headless chicken made us access two CL just because he scored a header while being average at absolute best during the rest of the season.
If you think that having a midfielder that actually contributes in the game instead of a guy who is useless unless we are having a counter attack and he can sprint with his long ass legs wouldn't have been better for Inter, I don't know what to say. I guess you're happy with him which is fair enough. I personnally think that for a player that cost the same amount as Lautaro and is on the same wages, Vecino is no Inter material. Same as Gagliardini who is cheaper and actually available to play.
The Vecino illusion lasted less than half a season.

They're both dogsh*t, but Gagliardini at least is available and actually tries on the pitch. Vecino has been here since the first Spalletti season and other than two or three goals that season and the Tottenham goal in CL, he is useless, hides on the pitch and manages to avoid criticism that way.

Every player can choke in a big game especially here at Inter, yes Gagliardini choked in some games, Handa too, Skriniar too, Lukaku or Lautaro as well.
No one will ever remember Vecino choking in a big game. Or even in a small game because he is always hiding on the pitch thus avoiding getting criticized because he tried something and it backfired.

No one is going to pay 10M for a 30 years old player, injury prone that has basically no real quality. Actually, we should try to sell him to Inter they love this kind of deal.

Only the unworthy ones. And Vecino fits in this category perfectly. If we got him for 8-10mln, I wouldn't have complaining at all but we paid 24mln for him. Anyway I don't blame the player so much but rather Spalletti and the mngmt. IINM Napoli bought Zielinski for around 16mln same year. The difference in the quality / transfer fee is immense.

He’s good enough to start against trash sides like Spezia and Genoa. Has potential to be a “Hail Mary” super sub. I wouldn’t consider selling him for less than 8mil hard cash personally.

Really, I believe instead what he said is absolutely correct and your answer is so stupid.
We fucking paid 30m and ca 5m net salaries for Vecino and grand Valero in that summer. With this amount of money we could have bought a really good midfileder in that summer. With Vecino and Valero we were in our classical winter meltdown. Only with Rafinha and emergence of Cancelo with were able to turn the things around and qualify for CL.
I don't remember any last minute or heroic goal from Rafinha that year, but he was our most creative player and kepr the midfield running.
Vecino is the opposite. 2 fucking heroic goals and Vecino is love. But many forget the player between. Everytime he was on the pitch, I asked myself what a fuck he was doing there? One of the lowest iq players I've seen: zero awareness, positioning null, techinical qualities mediocre at very best.

You're right I even forgot that Rafinha came during the winter transfer window. I loved Rafinha coming from the lower depth of the Barca bench and actually playing like a boss in our midfield. He showed so much attachment to the Inter shirt as well and contributed in actually changing our season in a positive way. The fact that we had to transfer another midfielder in January after having paid for two midfielders in July or August spoke levels about the quality we had.
