I would love too... but those two are so low in confidence right now......we need players to make an instant impact now.imo Alex Telles or Donny van de Beek
Honestly, he's probably been the best player overall for us this season, which is good for him but fuckin shameful for the other players. One of the best on the pitch today at both ends.
Sorry, that position is occupied by Perisic.Honestly, he's probably been the best player overall for us this season, which is good for him but fuckin shameful for the other players.
He is performing when needed. Here is the most recent interview with MatteoI can't believe how good he is.
He deserves an Azzurri call up.
DARMIAN: ‘IMPOSSIBLE TO REPLACE HAKIMI’
Matteo Darmian believes it is ‘impossible’ to replace Achraf Hakimi, but hopes to earn an Italy call-up in the future.
The Italian right-back is a regular starter under Simone Inzaghi after Hakimi’s move to PSG in the summer.
“I think it’s impossible to replace an important player such as Hakimi. He is among the best in this position and I always try to give my best to help the team, listening to the coach,” Darmian said at a press conference ahead of Champions League clash against Shakhtar.
“I feel the trust of my teammates, the coaches and the club and this pushes me to improve and help the team to achieve our goals.”
The 31-year-old made his senior Italy debut in 2014, but hasn’t played with the Azzurri for more than four years. His last game in an Azzurri shirt was the play-off match against Sweden at San Siro in 2017, which saw Italy fail to gain access to the 2018 World Cup.
“If [Italy CT Roberto] Mancini calls me, I would love it. I have to continue to work and do well like the whole team,” Darmian said.
“I was convinced to move to Parma because I wanted to get regular playing time after two seasons [at Man United]. I was proud when Inter called me and I didn’t think twice about a move.
“I try to give my best, for now, we are all doing it and we must continue.”
Inter will qualify for the Champions League last 16 with a game to spare if they beat Shakhtar tomorrow and Sheriff don’t beat Real Madrid.
“We must have the right determination against Shakhtar, as against Napoli on Sunday. If we have the right attitude, we can create trouble for them,” the defender said.
“We have more experience than last year, but we must remain humble and focused.”
He does. But fuck that. I think one of the main reasons he's performing at this level is that he is always fresh and rested up after the international breaks.I can't believe how good he is.
He deserves an Azzurri call up.
Pretty harsh assessment given his output and age.He is very limited. 100x100 effort is not enough at TOP level.
Thank you, Inzaghi. Now, I expect Barella and Dzeko to follow him soon. This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the initial tests have shown that the problem that caused the 31-year-old to have to leave the pitch during the second half of the clash was a strain to his thigh.
Darmian went down holding his upper leg midway through the second half, and after being looked at by medical staff it was decided that he should be substituted off the pitch rather than continuing, with Denzel Dumfries coming on in his place.
The wing-back’s condition was quickly evaluated afterwards, with the strain being revealed by the initial tests.
It remains to be seen how the serious the injury is and whether it will cause him to miss any significant time from the club, and further tests over the next few days should reveal more
YesIs there any chance this turns out to be a good deal ? :trollol:
Unbelievable how this transfer exceeded everyone's expectations. He fights like a lion.
