The only league that applies different rules than the continental leagues is premier league. Maybe there that wouldn't be a penalty, everywhere else, including the CL/EL/ECL, Darmian's handball is a clear penalty.I still don't know what a "natural" position is for an arm in the eyes of a referee at the moment.
To me, that incident with Darmian isn't a penalty. There's no way to turn without the arms coming out. In addition, the ball isn't even going toward the goal. The problem is that there is a precedent in Italy with this new rule.
The rule is left that open to interpretation that it differs between countries. Considering this is a new rule, it's a bit of a clusterfuck.
Unless you play against a spanish/english team in some European competition where rules are always there to favour them.
