Nah. Gladbach signing Friedrich (decent player btw, very underrated cb in Germany) doesn't really mean anything. Ginter has already announced he's leaving at the end of the season. The issue isn't Gladbach but finding an agreement with Ginter.

I watched M'gladbach against B. Leverkusen today. Leverkusen definitely deserved to win the game. The score could have been 4-1, 5-1 instead of 2-1. Coach Adolf Hütter ( what a name ) didn't use Ginter. M'gladbach 3 men defence line was awful ( Elvedi-Friedrich-Janstchker) Marcus Thuram who also linked with us played for the last 30 minutes and he was awful too.

It's just a desperate attempt from Gladbach to get a fee for him. If he's still there when transfer window closes he will be reinstated to the starting lineup. Gladbach are involved in a relegation battle and he's their best cb. They can't afford benching him.

Imo there's no reason for Inter to make a move in January. Barcelona and Bayern are more focused on Christensen and Inter seem to be the best offer he has.

Important side note: With Friedrich they have already bought his replacement. According to media we are interested in Thuram, and Bensebaini as well. Maybe we can give them a deal like "15 million for Ginter + one of those two". I still really think we need some addition especially upfront because I don't trust Correa at all.

If he won't be sold now, then it's a no brainer to get him. Even if he'll be a bench player, he will be better than the bench players we have now. And if in 2023 De Vrij leaves, he can be a starter, if he's good enough. The salary should also not be a problem, as you can just give him the Rano and Kolarov money. Like a lot of fans, i'd also rather see Bremer, but he will come only if we sell De Vrij and I don't think we will be doing that.
