Yeah.

Though extending him would mean lower amortization cost, actually it would be halved. And I read a rumor if they extend, he'd lower his salary for another year so the financial hit would be lower for this and next season.

But still, the extension would be fucking MADNESS for Juve IMO. :D

50m vs 80m loss a season is here nor there for me ultimately, and given his age they arent getting any plusvalenza on him, so its all good either way. More than anything, it means they're investing transfer budget into a player's wages, which means they'll have little to show for it in a couple of years time. And he is restricting how they play and the ability for Juve to develop as a team longer term

personally I hope Juve keep Ronaldo. Sure, he's the biggest difference maker, but at the same time, he's also retiring soon either way - the longer Juve are dependent on him, the harder it'll be for them to wean off him. Plus, if they keep him this season, they take another 25mil amortisation and 50-60mil salary costs? I hope they extend him :D
Don't forget that he is taking some talented players position too. They already ruined Dybala

There's a fresh Roma link rumour that Mourino wants him there if Dzeko leaves

I didn’t watch the match but man almost every comment in the game thread on Reddit mentions Icardi. Here are some of the highlights:

Icardi is the worst signing of the Qatari era. Would swap him for a used tooth brush.

fuck Icardi

I hate Icardi with a fucking passion. I cannot believe he managed 15 touches in 90 minutes. I’m throwing up uncontrollably.

Also Icardi is terrible, PSG played with 10 men today.

This is gonna sound hipstery but I never got the hype with Icardi. He's always been so one dimensional and did so well at Inter because they built their whole system around feeding him.

Put any decent player from the cité in the suburbs of Paris instead of Icardi for PSG, and they would get more so much more output in their game. Icardi is like having a tourist on the pitch

Icardi is terrible, Seferovic might just save PSG if they buy him

I think in FIF have had similar comments about Icardi in the games where he didn't score and Inter lost.
Icardi is great to finisher in penalty area but unfortunately nothing more.
For me it's strange that some Inter fans still deem that we sold him for cheap. I mean, 55mln+22mln bonuses seems like damn good deal for me.

A masterclass really, considering the situation with the player AND the pandemic.

Don't have one.

Sort of, although I don't remember him being critiqued and nitpicked nearly enough as lukaku for instance. Think it was a combination of us not being good as a team, so all those troll wins we had when he was decisive factor helped him go under a radar a bit when it came to discussing his overall footballing abilities, and also during that time he was kinda put on a pedestal alongside handa as our only truly valuable player in terms of what other clubs were willing to pay.

In terms of his career i v said it a million times already, Italy is just about the only high level place where he can flourish to some extent, preferably a team like roma where he can be in charge. Every other scenario will be damaging and further expose him to neutrals, who really only now are realizing what type of player he is. The thing is, though, I don't really think he gives a fuck about all of that, and as it stands right now he will probably ride that psg contract into the sunset.

If you are not using him to utilize his strengts he is bad for every team he's playing. I don't think he got much useful passes or crosses. PSG looked overall bad but Icardi is an easy target.

He was fine for them playing with Mbappe up front when Neymar wasn't around. More than fine actually.

Last season he was a ghost that got fat and I think he kinda gave up on everything with all the injuries and lack of interest at the end. Unless someone forces him to care enough about the sport he'll end up in the UAE in a couple of seasons.

Saw the lineup and I don't know 2 of their starters, 1/3 subs and 6 of their remaining bench guys. For a "superteam" they have had a distinct lacl of depth for years now.

Yeah I think he’s mentally checked out. However I also don’t think he’s ever really been as good as some rated him. Both can be true. I was never an Icardi hater but always felt like we would be just fine without him and knew we had a higher ceiling with a different type of striker.

The crazy thing is if he didn’t throw the tantrum and fake an injury he would probably still be here. He was too important in the eyes of the fans to sell him for no reason. Especially when he didn’t want to leave Milano. The tantrum gave Beppe the excuse he needed.

Wandas coming home

I'm ok with it if there's no transfer fee, his salary is entirely covered by PSG, he gets divorced, and is forced to play with the newly launched Inter u23s for the season tbh. Maybe with an early stage coppa appearance.

Bring him back on loan. Rather him than spending anything above 20m for Zapata. With Messi going to PSG there is no place for him anymore.

Marotta is still here, so I don't see how Icardi will come back. I don't think that he fits in Indzaghi football as well.
