It's also why people are attracted to the Premier League. There's zero pressure and some people are incredibly uncomfortable with out of pitch pressure (or even in).

You lose 0-5 at home to your biggest rivals, you go out the same night and people stop you for pictures.

Off the pitch matters the most. From location, to home situation, to training and teammates up to the last staff member and whatever relationship there is.
Playing time, performance etc are short term issues.


People are too into this spreadsheet and video game mentality when it comes to sport and expect goals to come in for bets and stats, as well as a perfect performance in each game as if players are artificially designed for this purpose alone.

It makes me wonder whether Mauro is not very sharp which is why he is now in this position.

The alternative is that he simply takes his profession for granted and does not realise that the career of a footballer is both privileged and short.

Or maybe he has earned so much money already that he simply does not care. Either way, it is pretty sad.

If you think about it, Icardi was at the same crossroad a number of years ago that Martinez recently found himself. The only difference is that the latter was not Captain, nor is he as prolific.

However, the major difference between them is the head on their respective shoulders. Icardi chose Wanda to the exclusion and detriment of everyone and everything else. Martinez chose and renewed with Inter and has become a mainstay in the Argentine lineup. He is a consumate professional, down to earth and values his profession. The present stock of each footballer speaks for itself.

The difference could not be more stark and the student (Martinez) has well and truly stepped out of his Icardi's shadow to make a name for himself.

According to multiple reports, Wanda Nara and Mauro Icardi have split up and the striker’s agent has posted a picture of Maxi Lopez on Instagram.

Wanda had discovered an affair between his husband and the Argentinean actress Eugenia’ China’ Suarez. They eventually returned together with Wanda revealing they had even signed divorce papers.

However, there was a new twist in the saga as Wanda, who is currently in Milan, told Argentinean journalist Yanina Latorre that she wants ‘to stay alone’. “I feel well and I want to know nothing about all the rest,” she said.

TYC Sports claims the Paris Saint-Germain striker has given Wanda the rights to all his contracts, current and future, as well as the properties he currently owns.

The report claims Icardi's contract will run until 2050, which means he'll be 57-years-old.
It means Wanda is now the sole owner of a company named World Marketing Football, which the couple set up together when Icardi played for Inter Milan.

Included in that package is a penthouse in Milan and a house on Lake Como in Italy, including image royalties from advertisements.
