Cryptic message sees Inter star hint at unhappiness
It seems Wanda Nara is trying to force the Biscione’s hand by upping the pressure on them once again to increase her client’s wages
In a strange message posted via her Twitter account, Wanda Nara, agent of Inter’s Mauro Icardi, has suggested the player doesn’t feel highly valued at the club.
Since selling Gonzalo Higuain, Napoli and club President Aurelio De Laurentiis in particular have made it clear that they want the Argentina international to replace him.
The Campania club have had their latest bid of €60 million turned down by the Nerazzurri but Nara has taken to Twitter to suggest that Napoli have shown how much they value the player in comparison to his current employers.
“We must learn to give people the same value and importance that they give us,” she wrote in Spanish.
While it is difficult to pinpoint what exactly the message the player’s representative is trying to send is, it is believed that she is hinting that if Napoli are willing to give Icardi €5m per season, then Inter should be prepared to do the same.Under the terms of his current contract, the former Sampdoria striker earns €3.2m per season as part of a deal which runs until 2019.
