It is incredible how well we've treated Icardi. Even if we don't bring the supposed rejection of a bid and the incoming raise into the discussion. We plucked a 20 year old with a 10 goal season out of Sampdoria and basically made him the focal point of our team. Gave him years to learn his trade as a starter and gave him the captains armband at 22!

What other big club would do this? I understand that he has delivered to a certain extent, but the lack of gratitude is outstanding. Icardi is just as lucky, if not more so, to have Inter as Inter is to have him.

And now we are actually willing to bend to his threats in order to keep him happy? It's almost surreal, maybe Im missing something. This kid is not special in my eyes, he is a classy finisher no doubt, but we have basically built the team around him. We have stroked his ego and given him every opportunity to become the player he is today, which IMO is still just a goal poacher. If we really did reject a bid of 60 million or more that's the worst mistake this club has made in a long time.

What would you like to see out of Icardi? him running tackling getting the ball dribbling 10 players and doing bicycle kick? Let us be realistic he is a player who thrives on service and is deadly at converting chances (key word) he had absolutely 0 today we have no offensive movement. We need to build a team not just buy players and throw them together.

I have, most of them have been talking about his contract im just saying FIF members are usually like this with everything so wishy washy one performance can make or break a player. I somewhat feel that he, or the way he plays, makes his team mates look bad. Maybe not, but I just have the feeling that he's the kind of striker that supporting players behind him find it difficult to play with.

It's more fun criticizing him now because hey, he's our 'superstar' with a 5 million euro contract.

Icardi's record in big games is pretty abysmal though. Last season for example he was basically invisible in all the big games except for our second game against Napoli (probably his best game in our colours). He did score a tap in against Fiorentina, but they were 3-0 up at the time

I'm trying to say that his playstyle is a bit more suitable for the big games, where the opponents attack us non-stop so he has a far better chance to convert something when he's not in the center of 7-8 defenders.

Jovetic didn't show a particular affinity for keeping possession last season, either. Don't get me wrong, Icardi is terrible at it too, but Jovetic over dribbled and couldn't hold-up play several times last year.

But that's in a different role, he was behind someone last season and always looking to create something every time he gets the ball. That role is more focused on passing vertically.

Being the lone striker up front is a different story.
