Sometimes he seems like he has no idea what he's doing in the pitch and then you have these moments with amazing evasion skills and perfect hits at goal.

If it's entirely football related, I think a move to Roma (with Mourinho of course) would see him return to his proper self. But it's probably just a guy with shattered confidence and playing with some of the best players on earth doesn't necessarily help you get past that.
