He was an outstanding crosser of the ball bizarrely, it didn't occur much but when it did I always thought he was one of if not the best crosser on the team.

I definitely made a joke at one point that the best person to play cross and inshallah into the box for Icardi was Icardi.

We might actually have an effective crossing mechanism if Icardi could send crosses in for Icardi.

Well, he had to cross to Politano, Candreva, Gagliardini or Vecino... chances of converting into an assist were limited

Taremi is in luck. Not just because he has better teammates around, but because the entire team is looked upon different, feels different internally and handles possession differently.

Spalletti has always been a possession-first kind of manager but at Inter he had to be structured at the back and we didn't really have the ball as much. No flow through the middle and no assistance to the wingers, so they mostly had to cross to find Icardi, which was hardly optimal. He just made it his job and made it look easy. The guy was far better in 2015 when we played more through the middle and he had Palacio, Jovetic or even Osvaldo next to him. And we looked more dangerous when young Lautaro was slotted next to Icardi for a few moments at the end of games, we were forced to feed them through the middle and it created more clear chances for both.


No idea why no more teams don't use two strikers anymore, the advantages are too many. And it's not like the wingers they're fielding are any good...

From what i have seen from Taremi so far he gives me the impression he is more of a hard working SS than a prolific CF in our system. He has high work rate, he will fight for every ball, he will provide assists to the main forward. He will occasionaly score but he won't be the main guy to score goals in attack.

Also very good at penalties which is a rare trait at Inter.

Happy with this transfer so far.

I won't call him a SS, he likes to drop back, but he is more of a poor man's Kane or even Toro (good def work rate, but more keen to drop back than Toro); he might even out perform them on a good day I feel, very good candidate for a 2 strikers system.

I liked him before he joined, but now he might even unlock Correa and Arna, which I didn't see before, if they don't keep trying to act like a little bitch.

Not to mention he will be complementing Frattesi and Asllani well.
