I thank my teammates because they welcomed me really well right from the start. Mkhitaryan helps me because he translates things for me, but I have a great relationship with everyone.”

I liked everything that I saw from him. He brings exactly what we've been missing, a true #9.

Imagine when Taremi has trained and played 3 months with Lauti & Thuram, not 1 match

He will have double digits in goals and assists this season!

Not a bad game at all, but we need goals from him. Clear upgrade over Arna and Correa but that was obvious.

Playing with Taremi is like having an extra super hard-working defender in our team. Maybe Inzaghi gave him the instruction to pass only. At times I felt like he was too “courteous”. Can’t wait to see him play more, especially if we need to rest Lauti for a few games. Poor guy is exhausted

Surprised how deep he goes back, always thought this guy was a pure poacher. Hope to see some goals soon.

I think he looked nervy at the start, but loved his hustle, some of his passes were divine

Don't have one.

He is a poacher type striker, but he also runs a lot, which is really a rare combination of attributes. Usually you can't count on those guys to run you a whole game, and mark and follow opponent's midfielders. He did that for the whole game, and it's the most impressive thing about his last night performance.

He isn't. The dude has always been a complete-ish forward with a very good G/A ratio.

Was expecting somewhat of a poacher but he is actually a really smart attacking player. He very rarely loses the ball and his link up play is excellent.

I wonder if people even actually know what a "poacher" is...

This isn't Football Manager. Poaching in football is an attitude and/or a skill, not a role. The closest thing we have to a "poacher" as a role is some winger that sits on the weak side and pounces in, something like Sterling under Guardiola for example, but even he had the ball a lot.

i thouhgt Poacher is clynical finishing, have the instict to be there at the right time. Icardi is a poacher, Frattesi is a midfielder but has poacher attitude.

Poacher means that you don't have the ball much and you kinda "steal" goals.

Think of someone who accidentally gets to score because the ball falls on him and he's typically unmarked (whether he evaded them or because it just happened, usually because he was lurking in offside territory and eventually the flow of the play made him eligible) or getting goals from rebounds.

Filippo Inzaghi for example was usually getting poacher like goals.
Icardi was not a poacher.
Example of poacher goal from both, which was 100% the same, Brozovic hits a shot that hits Icardi's stomach and goes in. Icardi "poaches" the goal. Same exact play with Pirlo hitting a shot, hitting Inzaghi's body and going in, Pippo claiming the goal, in the 2007 CL Final.

In fact, ironically, % wise from open play it's not unlikely that Lukaku had more "poacher" goals than Icardi for Inter.
Being a striker that knows how to time his runs, evades defenders without the ball and being clinical is not what defines a "poacher". You can have those as a "poacher", but you can be a lot more than "just a poacher".
You wouldn't really call Haaland a poacher for example, but a lot of his goals come from such a tendency.

The greatest poacher over the last 15 years, if we have to attribute this as an epithet, is Cristiano Ronaldo.

Completely agree on Frattesi.

As for Taremi, the guy is a complete player, he's always been more of a support striker than a box player. No idea why people thought he'd be useless on the ball, the guy is creative as fuck.

van nistelrooy was a prime example of a poacher.

Icardi had poacher tendancies, or fox in the box as we called it..

Maybe later RVN, but prime RVN, which was mostly before his Manchester United time I must tell you, wasn't such a player. Similar to Luca Toni, the guy was a straight up baller, but everyone just remembers him for being big, playing in the box and heading goals in.
