Caicedo salary so 😮

why didnt we considering Azmoun? imo Azmoun got same range of Caicedo's salary and more proven quality for rest of the season, for rest of our lives, and facing Liverpool too.
 Azmoun already signed for Leverkusen.

Things are clearing out now. Unless we're complete amateurs, we're getting a main WBL this winter. Which means we'll also be seeking a backup in the summer. Maybe a return of Biraghi or getting stuck with Dalbert, who knows?
We're not interested in a long term striker, assumingly because we also have the two big contracts there. So Caicedo would only arrive on short term deal. Or Petagna would, or whatever, we're not checking for long term solutions unless it's a cheap player who can be satisfied with a minor role and helps us with the quotas, ie Destro or Salcedo.

De Vrij is 90% out of the club for next season, Marotta will try to milk everything. Bremer is our priority to replace him. Alternatives are those Ginter etc guys.

Marotta is also likely to ask both Sanchez and Dzeko to terminate their contracts.

Perisic is leaving unless he accepts a significant cut a la Handanovic, assuming it's signed.

Vecino is going to leave as things stand. Sensi's future will be evaluated until the end of the month. Maybe he sticks around and remains for a while, maybe it's over right away and never plays for us again.
Vidal is also out.

I doubt Dybala is a target, it's probably a ploy to get Juventus to give him the money.

Scamacca is going to be our priority. If both Sanchez and Dzeko are out, we're probably getting some Sanchez replacement, or worst case scenario we stick with Salcedo. No idea what happens with Pinamonti.
I am guessing Ranocchia and D'Ambrosio will be offered extensions as it will become extremely difficult to replace them on top of everything else.

That very likely leaves us with:
De Vrij <-> Bremmer
Perisic <-> Gosens/Kostic/whomever comes this window
Vidal <-> Frattesi if we're lucky, also checking Maggiore and a few other young Italians
Dzeko(?) <-> Scamacca
Radu <-> Onana, in a way
Vecino <-> probably someone who will arrive on loan or on a free
Sensi (?) <-> no clue, but obviously needs to be replaced as well
Kolarov <-> some left wing back backup

Goses will cost us over 25m if we proceed.
Bremmer will cost us 30m.
Frattesi will also cost us 30m.
Scamacca will cost us 40m.

We're not getting more than 40m for De Vrij.
I'm guessing Lautaro will also be shown the door if he can fetch 80-100m, which I trust in this market he could, since teams will be chasing Mbappe and Haaland and will miss out. Which means we either keep one of Dzeko/Sanchez and/or sign a striker. I'm guess the likes of Duvan Zapata (~35m by then) would be the kind of options. Can't see a market for Correa, the only other players we can sell are Skriniar, Bastoni, Barella and maybe Dumfries. First three should be untouchable (but I don't trust Marotta with Skriniar, especially without the new deal), Dumfries won't fetch much. Hakan is out of the race because he has a huge salary. So I don't see another source of funds other than Lautaro and Skriniar. Brozovic would just have signed a new deal, it's not impossible to see him sold, but it's unlikely that teams passed on him on free and then get to spend a ton to buy him.

Just want to say that I'm not a huge fan of what I've just written, but it's pretty much the way we're moving on at this moment.

I can't see us terminating both Dzeko and Sanchez. Unless we sign both Dybala and Scamacca (unlikely) only one of them will leave (probably Sanchez). In case we sign Gosens, it would be nice if we could make an investment on a youngster for his backup. I am thinking about Cambiaso (cool name :D) and Parisi.

i smell maybe one from Tolisso or Zakaria probably fill this empty spot.

He does look promising but isn't he a rb? On the right i would prefer Singo of Torino.
Yes, he is, although he was playing on the left against Fiorentina last match. If we act quickly, he could be cheaper. Singo won't cost us less than 20 mln imo.

Singo is a good catch, but that's only if we sell Dumfries. He's not an improvement, at least not one worth the conundrum of buying/selling players with limited value.

If we are to sign a rotation player, either Zappa or Bellanova would be decent enough. Zappa has the club trained status and Bellanova probably has the higher ceiling.

But it's probable that we don't pay attention to WBR spots if Dumfries, Darmian and even D'Ambrosio stay. We should be focusing on central midfielders provided that we sort the WBL situation now.

I mentioned Singo more as a future consideration. We're ok with Dumfries and Darmian at the moment but Darmian is 32. We will need a new rb, either as a starter or a backup, in 1-2 seasons.

I agree rb shouldn't be a priority now.

Yeah the discussion tangled a bit since @varmin considered Bellanova a WBL target. He's played like 2 games there iirc and he wasn't even good at it.

Hopefully by the time we consider a new WBR we can get Hakimi back somehow or at least find someone like that. Singo will probably end up at Atalanta by the time we'll consider a move.

I don't consider him as a ready starter at Inter. I just meant that he could be get for cheap now, and definitely goes on loan after that. Maybe, I haven't expressed myself clear enough.
