As for january or september transfers or what position a player play does not matter, as it’s all Inter/Suning money and as I know we only have one budget. Inter can decide when and where they use that money… you don’t have to buy anyone if you don’t want, but all transfers are connected as they affect to our budget.
That's like your opinion lmao.

Again, going back to your statement, tell me how not spending ~60m on Gosens and Correa would lead to us still having Hakimi? When in reality Hakimi was sold first and buying Correa was after the fact that Lukaku forced a move. Timeline does matter, it's not as simple as value = value

There were other priorities. Renewing lautoro, barella and brozovic were way more important at that point in time.

Signing one of the best lwb's in the world at a discount price is an opportunity you take. Also we don't start paying for gosens till next summer. Gosens was signed for the upcoming season in mind not last.

We were always selling hakimi there was a deadline by which suning needed cash.

Corea was a specific request from inzaghi after losing rom. When you appoint someone you need to give him something.
It’s not we did not have time to renew all those players along with Perisic, Skriniar and De Vrij in 2020-21, 2021-22 seasons? Of course you will be in horry if you wait till last minute to renew with your players? I think you should first renew your key players and then look what the market offers?

Gosens transfer would never been needed if we would have renewed early with Perisic and we could have gotten someone cheaper for Perisic backup as Dimarco moved to LCB position.

Back in 2021 summer we should have send Sensi back to Sassuolo as it was option and saved that 22m and we sold Politano to Napoli for 21m. We also triggered Vanhausden for 13.7.2021 for 16m. So we just wasted money there for Sensi and Vanhausden in july 2021. Hakimi was sold 6.7.2021. I also think that ”deadline” was made up?

Corea was a specific request from inzaghi after losing rom. When you appoint someone you need to give him something.

We should have learned after Radja and Vidal you don’t make those kind of ”Coach ask” transfers! Correa should only be loan with option in that financial situation. We should have looked someone cheaper and lower wages, not Correa for 30m. Maybe even just kept Pinamonti as Dzeko backup and Sanchez for Lautaro sub? Inzaghi is no Conte and seems to be reasonable guy?

Also brakbrak there is my answer to your question. Correct me if you have better information? I try to get my facts on what is actually said by players, agents or our managment, not just a hunch.

Those were only options in name for accounting reasons. There were gentleman agreements with standard and sas to exercise those options. Inter as a club has always respected such agreements.

Again gosens is currently only costing us his wage. We only start paying atalanta from July 2023. So trying to include his full transfer value is foolish.

Again, lots of paragraphs for no answer at all. You stated that:
if we would not buyed Correa and Gosens we would now have €60m on hand or we could have kept Hakimi who is better than Gosens.
How is it possible when the timeline does not even match? We got Gosens months after Hakimi was sold.

There's so many things inter management shouldn't have done but securing gosens isnt one of them.

Forgot that he's on loan as well. Is it an 18 month loan?

In that climate we should have made exception as it was middle of pandemic with empty stadiums. I bet Sassuolo would have done the same. Other teams like Cagliari, Benfica fuck us every summer

Yeah I forgot Gosens payment is till 2023, my bad :palm: But we could have given Gosens salary to Perisic and save 25m in 2023?

I’m just saying we now could have Perisic-Hakimi at our wings, if we would have done things little differently.

”you don’t wait until last minute for contract extension talks with big players”.

I read this comment that he would have been willing to renew with Inter if he would have gotten a new deal early? But it seems you guys have better information what happened with Perisic contract negotions? So I have to again just trust ”fif’s common knowledge…
Did I claim I have better information? I said that's the likely scenario; because in the middle of season there were reports about Perisic wanting 6m per year to extend his contract but Inter didn't want to pay him that much. Then they signed Gosens. You don't buy one of the best LWBs in the world to sit on the bench.

Perisic and Inter didn't find agreement to renew his contract because Perisic wanted a payrise but Inter found it excessive. Those reports were out months before Perisic made that comment. You don't need to have inside information to put together the pieces.

He's started for a team that went to the World Cup finals, won a treble as a regular contributor, and was one of the best wingers in the league during his first stint.

Marotta said he wants to give Inzaghi a completed squad by the end of June.

11 days left, gonna need to shift it into a higher gear.

We seem to have reached full agreement with all of our targets other than Bremer.

It’s the selling that is being dragged.

lol. My bad and my apology to @NimAray and @brakbrak

I totally forgot Gosens was 18 month loan :palm:

I though it was 6 months and we needed to pay him at this fiscal year… (same as we sold Hakimi july 2021), so my bad and it totally changes things!

Actually with this information Gosens seems like a good deal and I made my self look total fool of a clown 🤡

Carry on nothing to see here

One question that I always have about Inter, and other top Italian clubs, when it comes to youth development is the chances our kids get on the main team. Why not have a talented primavera kid as a 2nd or 3rd back up, and give him some minutes in games we are leading comfortably and even some starts in coppa games? Why don't we develop some youth ourselves?

Consider our midfield at the moment. It looks like we will end up with:

Hakan (Mkhitaryan) - Brozovic (Asllani) - Barella (Gagliardini)

Whats the point of Gagliardini in this squad? We need money, why not sell him and say use Casadei as the 6th midfielder? This kid is so highly rated, one of the best young Italian talents. Why not actually try to develop him by giving him minutes as I mentioned above? Thats what the English clubs do so well, and we do so badly. Imagine if you have 2-3 kids every year in your squad, and you actually try to develop them... if one of them breaks through, that would be so awesome. We haven't had that since Santon & Balotelli, that was more than a decade ago.

I have a feeling me might utilize Agoume in that Gagliardini spot. Will probably depend on if Inzaghi likes what he sees in preseason.

100% agree - they should use them in that 3rd back up spot. In some cup competition give them extensive game time, maybe even start. This should always be the case with our highest rated players in the primavera.

It has already been discussed in the Casadei's and Primavera's threads. More than who's to blame for this, it's about the general attitude in the country. As Mancini said in a recent interview, Italian coaches refuse to play youngsters because they're afraid they might make a mistake.

Well, considering how many mistakes the older players make and cost 10 times more than the youngsters it's quite baffling why Inter and other Italian clubs insist on continuing this broken cycle.

And another thing is, when we suggest the same formula as you did, some people make it like we're suggesting that Inter should only play youngsters or never sign older quality players; which has more to do with their reading comprehension than what we suggest.
