What I have seen Sanchez at Spurs he has had some really good games and some bad games, jus like our current defenders De Vrij, Bastoni and even Skriniar. But he would come cheaper wages.

I would like to see one cb who is faster and more athletic than our current ones.

Yup. We need to add some pace to the backline. Moving Skriniar centrally and signing a fast RCB would be the simple solution.

I'm sure we'll instead renew de Vrij, let Skriniar walk, and sign Smalling.

I think he would would if someone in the middle can pick up any errors he does. I mean Mina usually would bail him out or he is fast enough to win the ball back when he fk's up but yea..... I would love for him to go back to how good he was in Colombia and Holland. For me he is 4th choice with a chance to win his spot. He won't be cheap either and his wages 4m and they paid 40 million for him.

AFAIK Gags salary is less than 2m net. So not a big freed up gross salary but at least something.

He earns 1.5m. His salary is the main reason he's still at Inter. Any other decent midfielder would definitely earn more. But it isn't even worth keeping him for financial reasons alone.

You mean the blow money like no tomorrow. Those clubs chronically underperform in Europe when compared to the insane amounts of cash they blow on players. If anything that would be more frustrating.

Besides losing Skriniar and getting Smalling as his replacement, are there really no other rumours? In my more than 20 years as an Inter fan I can't remember such a pathetic transfer window. Apparently all interests in other players have cooled down because we have zero money. Right now my expectation are that we lose Skriniar in the summer and Dumfries already in winter while no replacement will be signed now.

Hopefully Moratta can do his magic and at least get some decent free agents for next season because we need new blood for nearly every position. There are many great players available, so let's hope for the best. Personally I rate Thuram the highest and really hope that we can get him. Chelsea and PSG are / were interested according to media, but it feels as if those two clubs are interested in every player on Earth
