It's bad for the clubs at least in the short term. Or more specifically, to clubs who have been able to sign players from abroad. Better players with the "same money" or same level of players with less money whichever way you want to see it. Now that's gone. No more Thuram-like signings.

Dunno about the effects of Italian football in the longer term.

The forgien players added value and quality to Serie A. The situation now is way better than it was 5 years ago and some of the credit for that should go to the growth decree.

Also, there are many italians in the richest and storngest teams in Italia. Its not like Inter 2010, the italians are main players in each of the top teams, Napoli might be the execption.

This desicion is pure ignorance without any logic behind it.

makes foreign players cheaper.... giving even less Italian players chances. The Italian National team fking sucks badly and needs a life line they failed to make it to the last 2 world cups and none of the leagues teams are profitable. Not saying this will fix this but it can't hurt.

In terms of this tax break? Not sure about that. Though Milan signed a lot of players from abroad last summer, at least.

I dont remember where but I saw they saved around 20M thanks to GD while we 12.5M and most important, our signings are actually top class. They need to do some purchases this summer.
